run if you can... i had a bunch of deadweights for group projects and he basically told me to deal with it. did nothing to help me. i ended up doing two projects basically on my own. also the final is ridiculous, worth 40% of your grade but it isn't even clear what's on it. he grades participation harshly too.intb1203 2025-11-28 08:00:12 +0000 UTC
Netty, is a very humorous professor and is very easy to get along with. The only thing are his group works that are hard since he docent involve himself. He isn't too difficult to work with and is a nice guy. Its just a lot of information but he is very accessibleintb1203 2025-11-22 01:43:56 +0000 UTC
great classintb1203 2025-10-30 06:35:06 +0000 UTC
Overall was a solid teacher. I don't understand the previous students' answers, as my class was different, so he may have changed since then. Pay attention in class, take good notes on lectures: you will get a free A. His lectures for the midterm were pretty easy if you did the work, and the same applied to the final. Based heavily on his slides.intb1203 2025-10-29 07:54:27 +0000 UTC
Netty is a fun lecturer and has a good sense of humor. He's makes participating in class easy for anyone who pays attention and feels comfortable speaking in class. Netty does a good job answering questions in class and breaking down concepts. Be careful of his tests, they can be tricky and are weighed heavily.intb1203 2025-04-24 18:15:11 +0000 UTC
Dr. Netty is a very passionate and engaging Professor. He pulls in a great deal of real-world examples and makes the material applicable. He facilitates class discussion and brings everyone into it. You can tell he really cares about his students and wants us to succeed. For those with an interest in IB, the course is most definitely a good choice.intb1203 2025-04-21 06:38:49 +0000 UTC
I was able to take Professor Netty's class recently and had a amazing experience. Although his tests could be difficult and a good amount of the information on it came from the textbook, I felt well prepared based off of his lectures, as well as the textbook. If you show up to class, payed attention, and put in some work, you will be fineintb1203 2025-02-11 00:31:48 +0000 UTC
Netty is very kind and helpful, and passionate about his job. Accent isn't bad. Lectures are boring and you don't really need to pay attention; I didn't study at all until before exams and still got As, lots of memorization required but doable. IIRC midterm was worth 15% and final was 20% of your grade. Course was boring but Netty made up for it.intb1203 2025-01-31 08:01:49 +0000 UTC
Netty was a great professor. He lectures, but always gets you to think in the lectures, so participation heavily matters. Most of your grades are from tests and group projects, so you have to study and do the projects ahead of time. Overall it's a good class, but be prepared for the projects and tests.intb1203 2025-01-24 18:50:56 +0000 UTC
Netty was an extremely passionate and excellent professor, information was went over in a super clear and steady pace in class, directions for how to preform well on individual and group projects were clear and matched the grades our group received, and the midterm and final did not have any unfair questions. If you participate and listen, dw.intb1203 2025-01-07 16:02:37 +0000 UTC
-Class was a sham -Final was a 25 multiple choice test worth 40% of your grade and ridiculously difficult and based on a textbook he did not use once in the class, with the lectures for the entire semester covering maybe 3 out of 25 questions -Put in every grade 2 hours before grades closedintb1203 2025-01-04 01:28:11 +0000 UTC
He has very long lectures and that is how he makes tests. It comes off of his 300+ slides. The textbook is not required, but his practice material comes from the textbook so his practice material is not even representative of the tests. Group projects make up most of the grade and he does not intervene when group mates are bad.intb1203 2024-12-16 23:53:01 +0000 UTC
He was an amazing professor, passionate about what he was teaching. He was very helpful outside of class. You have to take notes during the classes, and participation matters. Read the textbook and keep up with the material, and you will have no problem.intb1203 2024-08-17 18:52:31 +0000 UTC
This class is strictly graded on the midterm and final. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS TAKE THE OTHER PROF. His power points are pretty much useless and he does not use the textbook; you'll have to read it on your own all the way thru if you even want a chance in passing. The averages for midterm and final were absolutely atrocious. Thick accent.intb1203 2024-08-10 15:46:16 +0000 UTC
Your grade is really dependent on the notes you take as a lot of the test questions are from what he verbally says in class, and not just on the slides. Not sure why everyone is talking about his accent as it really wasn't an issue for me. Final wasn't that hard if you really study. He's a good professor and helps students who actually put in work!intb1203 2024-04-29 19:38:32 +0000 UTC
