Prof. Janell is a really really good teacher! Accounting is generally a hard subject but he knows the subject very well. Throw a question at him and he'll be able to answer you. He never taught the material, in class rushed through the problems and was extremely intimidating whenever someone didn't understand something or went to him for help. Prof Janell goes very quickly. You have to be willing to put in some time outside of class to go back over the material. There are quizzes on each chapter or so and then 2 midterms and a final. It's obvious he knows his stuff, but he doesn't explain concepts well, and once you get confused once, you're screwed for the whole unit. He can be a smart ass when you try to answer questions but overall the class isn't bad. Do the homework, and read the chapters and you should do alright. Really nice guy and a great teacher. Makes it very clear that he knows exactly what he is talking about. He may make smart-ass comments to students, but it is blatantly obvious that they are good-natured.
