Only professor out of the three that took the time to teach us the material in the lectures. Asking questions and attending his office hours definitely helped with the homework, which is hard in nature/PHYS1145 2025-01-10 19:40:39 +0000 UTC
Professor Stevenson's lectures were excellent and he was great at explaining tough concepts. The extra credit was so helpful and definitely worth doing.PHYS1145 2025-01-04 03:35:59 +0000 UTC
Paul is a great professor! He demonstrates that he cares by the effort he puts into his lectures. He doesn't publish his notes, so be sure you're there to copy them down. The class setup is very conducive to learning with the in-class practice problems, group work, and individual and group quizzes. There are TONS of extra credit opportunities too!PHYS1145 2024-05-05 17:26:29 +0000 UTC
Weekly quizzes (barely worth anything) with a midterm worth 30% and a final worth 35%. Read the textbook and practice the problems and you'll be fine. Explains to the best of his ability, but the textbook will be your best friend. LOTS of extra credit.PHYS1145 2024-04-20 19:23:41 +0000 UTC
He was so truly horrible. No extra credit given for any exam questions, could be off by a single decimal point and he will mark the whole question wrong. The worst professor I have ever had at Northeastern. Horrible teaching methods and not considerate at all.PHYS1145 2024-04-18 03:37:02 +0000 UTC
Professor stevenson is a very caring and understanding professor. He clearly wants his students to succeed and is very available outside of class. His lectures are also entertaining and he keeps students engaged. There is a ton of extra credit and exams are easy if you do all the practice problems.PHYS1145 2022-12-17 18:06:07 +0000 UTC
Weekly quizzes and homework, 1 midterm, and 1 cumulative final. He's super understanding and really cares about making sure you understand the material. He always breaks up long lectures with a break. Quizzes are not difficult if you prep for them a bit, and the homework is doable and doesn't take too much time.PHYS1145 2022-05-12 20:26:05 +0000 UTC
