Listen to other reviews about her harsh grading! It is very difficult to get anything above a 90. Although it is "not required", attending/participating is built into your grade. It's an interesting course about a developing field of finance but not worth the headaches. Slide decks also have horrible grammar and spelling. Prof Salem is incredibly kind and passionate about finance. However, her grading criteria is impossible. She gives seemingly clear feedback but getting an A is virtually impossible. Prof Salem is one of the kindest and most encouraging professors I've had. She loves class participation and always supports her students. She has a talent and very apparent passion for teaching making her classroom an incredibly enjoyable place to be. Most information that came out of her mouth was both repetitive and useless, and some information was flat out wrong (with a quick google search). She won't respond to criticisms of the theories or does not understand the subject well enough to argue. Waste of my time. Want to learn behavioral finance? Skip class. Loved this class, learned so much. She doesn't intentionally mislead but can be confusing at times. It is best to ask for clarification. She outlines exactly what you need to succeed in the class.
