Russ is the BEST. His train from NYC to Boston got cancelled the day of the review session for the final exam so he literally rented a car and drove to Boston to be there in time. Super great w real life analogies to the material learned in class. It's a lot of material covered and I was better w financial acct personally but he made class a joyACCT2301 2025-12-10 05:31:39 +0000 UTC

really great prof & lecturer! cares a lot about his students, happy to help outside of class & offer career advice. brings in speakers to talk & has connections he will leverage for you. the group projects are super interesting & allow communications with specialists. he cares a lot about the class. a bit hard to study for & unstructured for testsACCT3403 2022-08-15 02:54:01 +0000 UTC
This is one of the few professors that I've had who truly cares about his students' success and lives outside of class. His lectures were interactive, and he made otherwise boring information interesting, partially with the help of guest speakers. I loved doing the homework because it felt real and there was no busy work. Exams were manageable.ACC3403 2021-05-03 20:59:53 +0000 UTC
The goat of accounting. Really make sure to study logic and how to apply each formula for exams because questions definitely differ. If you show up to class you will be good.ACCT2301 2025-01-06 03:39:20 +0000 UTC

Russ is the best professor I've ever had. He in extremely knowledgable on the subject and knows what matters for the real world. Transforms the way you think about things and is just a really nice guy. Homework is all very doable, projects are as hard as you want them to be, you really design your own path with him.ACC3403 2021-04-16 20:39:23 +0000 UTC

Awesome professor! Has a lot of experience which he brings to the class and really likes to help his students out. Tests are fair, case studies are long.2301 2015-06-20 16:51:08 +0000 UTC
Prof. O'Haver is a really great guy, who knows a good deal about Accounting systems and cares a lot about his students. Lectures are insightful (with knowledgeable guest speakers), his homeworks really help you to learn and think more critically, project can be as difficult as you want it to be, and exams are manageable! Overall, a great class!ACCT3403 2021-05-04 21:47:09 +0000 UTC
Professor O'Haver is one of the best professors I have had at Northeastern. He is very smart, adds real-world examples, is very resourceful. Do very well on the HW assignments! Time consuming but you can really stand out if you put effort into them. Tests are extremely fair. Highly recommend if you want to take an AIS course.ACC3403 2011-12-05 23:04:01 +0000 UTC
I don't know why others give him a such high grade. I cannot understand everything he teaches in the class. He doesn't have a clear structure so that I cannot follow his logic. His test is different from the practice and hw so I have no idea how to get a good grade. I think he is a nice guy but the bad prof ever in NortheasternACCT2301 2021-11-16 20:14:20 +0000 UTC

Goes out of his way to make Managerial Accounting applicable for any major! Remembers everyones name and major, and tailors lessons to make it accurate and applicable for various fields.
