He's a funny guy but not very helpful with teaching physics.PHYS1145 2025-12-16 16:19:42 +0000 UTC
Professor Kautsch made ILS a breeze with extremely helpful lectures (more so than 1151's), helpful feedback, and very fair grading and treatment. He was very personable and understanding, reaching out if you missed a quiz automatically. He made my experience in physics much easier and I feel as if I learned a lot from him.1153 2025-04-19 02:58:01 +0000 UTC
The class is reverse-classroom style, meaning you watch lecture videos for hw and do practice problems in class. This guy is very sweet, but you will learn nothing from him. He doesn't even make the lecture videos, and his explanations in class are all over the place and confusing. He gets two stars simply because he's funny.PHYS1145 2025-12-15 20:30:47 +0000 UTC
This guy actually taught me nothing of value in physics for life sci because he will just try to relate it to astronomy or his legos!!! Accent is top tier thoPHYS1145 2025-12-12 00:15:04 +0000 UTC
If you get the chance to take any of his classes you definitely should. This man is so sweet and enthusiastic. I do not like physics but looked forward to showing up every day because of him. He brings in Lego models that go with the topic we are learning about and seems like he really wants you to understand the topics. 10/10PHYS1145 2025-12-03 01:08:38 +0000 UTC
This was his first year teaching Physics 1, so he was still figuring it out. He brought a LEGO model to each class, which tied into some aspect of the lecture. He is a very sweet guy and obviously very intelligent, but lectures sometimes stray away from the content for the quizzes, ect. His accent is great, and he cracks a lot of jokes.PHYS1145 2025-12-02 14:45:33 +0000 UTC
