Great Teacher, really helps you understand material. I honestly don't think I got a great grade on the final but i feel like if I had actually listened to is advice about studying I would have done way better. Really genuine guy and he teaches the material very effectively in class.Attendance is mandatory and tests are most of the grade.ACCT2301 2025-12-12 05:03:54 +0000 UTC
Makes the class, homework and case studies very easy and straightforward, however, his exams are the worst. He jacks up the degree of difficulty and continually fails to create a test that can be completed within the time frame of class. The final exam was 16 pages long, no one in the class finished...ACCT 2013-04-25 00:05:50 +0000 UTC
One of the best professors Ive had at NU. He uses alot of powerpoints and worksheets in class. He makes the material very clear by summarizing the material before and after class. He gets the class to participate during class by asking alot of questions. Test might be alittle tricky but if you go to class it shouldnt be a problem.ACCTACCT 2011-11-15 15:41:10 +0000 UTC
loves him! In his class I feel like I am back in the highschool class! He was very friendly and make class very fun. It is not just attending, and he giving u participation something like that. he wants u to participate and smile! loved it ! final exam was very hard though almost everyone was stuck in the chairs right before the exam time ends!ACCT202 2011-03-24 22:11:05 +0000 UTC
Good Professor! I was afraid of the class but he makes the material easy and is great at explaining concepts. He is very vague about the material in the tests and that makes it difficult but if you understand and study hard you will be ok... He is willing to help, has patience and knows the material. I would recommend him!ACC301 2009-01-03 22:27:36 +0000 UTC
Professor Hoitash tries to help his students to understand. He is available just about all the time. His tests however seem to be tricky. His tests consist of intuitive problem solving, but his teaching is that of simple formula puggling.I would not reccamend this professor unless you enjoy studying extensivly and being tricked on the tests.ACCU301 2009-01-03 13:41:30 +0000 UTC
The good ratings are tripping tbh the work he makes you do in class is all Excel but the tests are on paper. He does not give any guidelines to study for any tests, nor sufficient resources to prepare. The problems he makes you do in class are completely different from the tests. He is not understanding of personal/ extraneous circumstances either.ACCT2301 2025-12-04 23:20:43 +0000 UTC
Great professor. Learned alot. Reinforces what was learned in class with in class exercises which really helps. Going to class helps you to do well and I rarely used the book. Slides were enough to do well.ACCU301 2008-12-07 13:55:27 +0000 UTC
Funny, caring, and entertaining short guy who sounds like Gru. Grade comprised of 2 midterms and a final, 2 case studies with randomly assigned partners, 2 excel analytics assignments, and chapter homeworks, both on McGraw (infinite check my works). Coursework is easy as long as you pay attention in class and do the exercises/understand the hws.ACCT2301 2025-11-10 19:27:53 +0000 UTC
DO NOT TAKE HIMACCT2301 2025-09-25 01:59:22 +0000 UTC
Makes it easy to do well as long as you put in the work. Does an excellent job explaining everything and reinforces it with solid practice. Clearly cares about his students and wants to help them do well. Definitely take his class if you get the chance!ACCT2301 2024-12-17 02:08:11 +0000 UTC
Udi is an excellent teacher. If you attend the lectures and follow the in-class exercises, I promise you will get an A. Grade comprises 2 case studies (done in pairs, both selected at random), two midterms, homework, and a final. Midterms are easy as long as you do the exercises he provides. He's very passionate and caring and I highly recommend.ACCT2301 2024-12-12 22:07:36 +0000 UTC
Udi is my favorite teacher. Has a good personality, teaches everything well, and teaches you excel. The tests are on paper, but if you pay attention to the Excel it easily translates over. Probably not only the best, but the easiest, and the most informative managerial teacher. He's engaged in research, available outside of class, no downside.ACCT2301 2024-12-11 02:31:04 +0000 UTC
If you want to become a managerial accountant, go for it, but it's really not worth. Mad excel work in class but nothing comes out of it since the tests are on paper. The exams are a lot more difficult than what we practice in class. Attendance is mandatory and this guy won't know your name the whole semester (uses name cards lmao). save yourselfACCT2301 2024-11-11 03:53:34 +0000 UTC
