Professor Liao is a very caring and smart professor. His lectures are very insightful, but can run on. He has many in-class activities and encourages everyone to participate. Professor Liao is one of the most caring and kind professors at NEU. It can be difficult to understand him at times due to his accent but his classes are extremely engaging and fun. Very caring and respectful professor. Many interesting class discussion, but he'll not force anyone to speak. Many group work, and test is hard, but he will curve the grade so no worry. Great professor! Shows enthusiasm during classes and gives very thoughtful feedbacks on projects/emails. Lots of class discussion, but in a relaxed way (he won't force you to talk). He respects & values all students' ideas. He wants student to do well, and can extend ddl you have reasonable excuse.
