She is bubbly, very personable, caring, understanding and flexible for the student needs. She makes it very easy to do well and breaks down the material in a fun, modern way. Professor Shields is wonderful and caring! For those who are scared to speak in front of people, she won't judge you ever. Make sure to read assigned chapters bc she does give pop quizzes where one has to summarize in front of the class. She is so nice and understanding!!! She makes lecture engaging by asking questions about your thoughts. For presentations, public speaking is evaluated and she does exercises during class to prepare for that.
