Nicest professor in the world. Inspiring lectures. World famous researcher and scientific leader that helped guide modern era power electronics community at international level.EECE5684 2025-12-05 10:56:55 +0000 UTC
Really excellent, knowledgeable. Top professor I've taken at the school. Material requires some reading to excel, which is seems like very few people do. Beyond that, class is not difficult relative to other grad offerings.ENGR5670 2018-04-06 09:23:37 +0000 UTC
By the end of the semester, I became a believer in his teaching greatness. We actually had the other Electronics instructor at NEU substitute and then everyone realized how great Brad is at teaching. Unbelievable thing: at the end of the semester he had a world famous entrepreneur who sold his company for $1B come teach us about startups!!!EECE2412 2011-05-17 16:25:06 +0000 UTC
Ditto to all the comments. Very clear instructor and easily approachable. No trick questions on exams. He is challenging, though. Besides teaching the basic electronics material we got some exposure to solar energy and LEDs from his research lab. JUST GET THIS GUY IN ANY CLASS YOU CAN, EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN THE CLASS.ELECT2412 2010-05-03 15:20:41 +0000 UTC
I was opposed to cloning humans until I had this professor. Get rid of the rest of the faculty and let him teach every class. I will probably switch to Electronics specialization because he gave me so much insight.ECEU402 2009-04-06 13:46:59 +0000 UTC
He is as good as everyone says he is. Homeworks are hard but every minute spent is helpful to learning material. By the way he gives candy out when you hand out HW.ELECTU402 2008-09-21 21:09:02 +0000 UTC
Such a great, patient, clear and helpful instructor. I guess the girls think he is cute, but this is nothing to me(guy). Tough class, but he excites you about learning material and becoming an electrical engineer. He shows research, such as LED lights, in his class. Wish all professors taught like this. Grading is fair, though he works you hard.ECE402 2007-09-27 11:50:29 +0000 UTC
Patient, funny, helpful and very organized. Cares about the students learning.ECEG100 2006-12-21 16:57:19 +0000 UTC

He's the 2012 Heat Lebron of teaching power electronics. The best professor I've had in my life. If I could give him 6 stars I would. In his life he invented and innovated with the cutting edge of the field, wining several awards and becoming IEEE Power Electronics Society President, and it shows. Go to his office hours too, he's greatEECE5684 2025-11-07 17:14:41 +0000 UTC
Lots of work. Learn a lot. Get to run experiments on solar pv and hydro. This is a course and professor worth the outrageous tuition.ENGR5670 2012-01-03 16:11:33 +0000 UTC
He is a ok professor. Sometimes, he talks about other course unrelated stuffs than class materials.EECE2412 2011-03-29 08:08:02 +0000 UTC
Took his class Fall '08 and he's one of the best engineering professors at NU. The way he teaches makes it so much easier to understand what is going on. Gives access to tons of past tests/problems. Genuinely concerned with how students are doing. Makes connections to real world engineering. Homework is hard but he's really fair on Midterms.ECEU402 2009-02-25 15:23:26 +0000 UTC
