Be prepared to work hard, but the work is very rewarding and clearly connected to engineering. Ask good questions, go to office hours, and work hard and she will like you, which makes the class more fun. If you get stuck in a bad group, speak up early or this class will become incredibly difficult. Work collaboratively, and FYELIC is your friend.GE1501AND1502 2025-09-11 20:16:27 +0000 UTC
KSG was great! She is incredibly passionate about what she teaches. We got to go on a few optional field trips in the class which was really fun. The actual content on energy systems is super interesting, and very applicable to modern day politics. I really recommend this class and this teacher. There's readings, but you can skim them.GE3300 2025-07-06 19:12:35 +0000 UTC
KSG just wrote my recommendation for med school and I'm speechless. She has been my biggest cheerleader and supported me through figuring out what I want to do. Her class was tough but I get what she's doing. I want to help others in my work and I learned that in her class. Work hard and you'll reap the benefits later. Don't be lazy, take KSG!GE1501GE1502 2025-06-03 12:44:23 +0000 UTC
u learn so much with the sacrifice of ur health, dignity, social life. ive pulled like 8 all nighters for this class in like 2 weeks and skipped the gym and have been getting fat. she makes learning unenjoyable.GE15011502 2025-04-15 12:40:24 +0000 UTC
KSG is a very nice and enthusiastic professor but not a good fit for Cornerstones. Her area of expertise is clearly outside general engineering, so she sometimes makes small mistakes in her teaching, and in general it's not easy to learn from her directly. The work is tedious and you must follow instructions exactly even without understanding them.GE1501 2025-03-17 19:57:09 +0000 UTC
Okay, I don't hate her at all. I think she's a genuinely nice person and she cares about her students and clearly wants us all to succeed. Compared to the other stacked professor, KSG is 10 times harder and you will hate your life and her for the whole semester. But for me I would still take her again bc I learned SO much. (but it was SO hard)GE1502 2021-12-08 19:54:33 +0000 UTC
KSG is a solid professor. A little strict and makes you work for it, but is very clear and concise during lectures. Respects all the students and her class is actually quite enjoyable (if you like engineering).GE1000 2020-04-12 18:08:55 +0000 UTC
This was part of the cornerstone class. Don't take this if your're not ready to put in hours of work. You will learn a LOT about coding and CAD in a short time and will be expected to do some extremely hard projects. She expects a lot from you but in the end it will all be worth it. Her expectations are clear and is always there to help.GE1110 2016-01-07 13:16:27 +0000 UTC
She could be helpful, if you ask for her help. I wouldn't recommend her for anyone seeking a good grade. Very harsh grader and expects too much from her students. her grading sometimes could be unfair, it really depends on her mood.GE1011 2013-03-28 22:30:45 +0000 UTC
She is a very nice person. Expects a lot from students and can be a harsh grader. Just make sure you follow all of the requirements and go ask her if you don't know what she wants. Her directions can be a bit unclear. Overall she is just trying to prepare you for the "real world."GE1100 2012-12-20 11:36:03 +0000 UTC
KSG is by far the best professor/teacher I've had in my entire life. She is super understanding and cares for all her students. As long as you try in the class, you will have an amazing experience. The class IS difficult, but extremely rewarding if you want to really learn about engineering. Stacked cornerstone with KSG is worth it.GE1501AND1502 2025-07-05 05:04:05 +0000 UTC
the class was interesting and the prof was great. there was a lot of homework and reading, but her expectations were clear and she is a fair grader. she also gives a few points of extra credit on the exams. she sets up interesting guest speakers and optional trips for the class as well, would recommend taking a class of hersGE3300 2025-07-04 19:23:33 +0000 UTC
This whole class is unreasonable, unclear, and outdated. TAs specifically are unprofessional and unhelpful, especially Dante. Dante is one of the rudest and egotistical TAs. He doesn't grade assignments until a month later and provides no helpful support for group projects. KSG as well, unprofessional communication.GE1501GE1502 2025-03-25 02:06:24 +0000 UTC
This professor is unorganized, unhelpful, and unclear in lectures. They don't explain concepts well and dismiss student questions. Grading feels arbitrary, and feedback is nonexistent. If you need help, don't expect much. Avoid if possible—your learning experience will suffer.GE15011502 2025-04-03 02:13:17 +0000 UTC
KSG is an amazing professor. She is very engaging and all of her teaching is practical, as she wants her students to learn hands-on. Lots of difficult HW, but it is all helpful and relevant, and she offers lots of resources and office hours. Also lots of groupwork, for which she offers anonymous feedback and accountability. Great first year course.GE1501 2020-04-05 16:44:57 +0000 UTC
