you have to attend the lectures for this class or else you will 100% fail. the short essays are decent, makes you really think. lectures make you think crazily, short essays make you think crazily, and the final project, you have to think really hard to get a good grade on it. there's mandatory exercises in each lecture, so you have to attend.PHIL1300 2025-12-16 22:09:47 +0000 UTC

Amazing professor. Great lectures which really make you think. Participation is not mandatory. Grading is lenient and you are allowed to miss up to 2 classes. The final project is open ended so you can do whatever you want as long as its related to the class. Hanley was very chill and understanding: lets the student even propose their own final project. Difficult grading but if you put in the work on the essays it is very possible to get an A.
