Prof. Delmas is a great professor. I don't know a single person who didn't love her or her class. She's very nice, but she is not a pushover. She wants everyone to participate and succeed. I love her! She's tough but incredibly fair. She's the type of professor you don't want to let down nor disappoint. She seems intimidating because of how eloquent she is but if you do the readings, study, participate, and write great papers then you will get a great grade. this was my favorite class!!! classes are basically discussions, where you dive deep in the readings. This class is not for the faint of heart. There is a lot of reading and this class takes up a lot of your time. Prof. Delmas has high expectations of her students and makes you work for your grade. Professor Delmas is one of the best professors I've had. I highly recommend her and each of her courses. Her courses are heavy on reading (but this isn't surprising as they are philosophy and philosophical politics courses). Prof Delmas was my favorite prof this semester. Lots of work but its v manageable and you do a lot of group work so if you have good groups you should be good to go. She knows so much and makes lectures fun and engaging. Very informative lectures and lot's of in class discussions and group projects so the class doesn't get monotonous. You can usually get by skimming the readings or looking up summaries if you pay attention to the lectures. Most of your grade comes from group work and class discussions. Professor Delmas is super smart, and her lectures are always great. The class discussions are interesting, and she's amazing at reading the class and asking thought provoking questions. Delmas seems SUPER intimidating the first few weeks, but once you get into the groove of things, class is very enjoyable. Great conversations related to political philosophy happen every class, and the deeper into the semester you get, the closer you grow with your peers.
