Dr. Cipriano is more than qualified to teach this class. Her lecture style evokes the momentum for students to keep going. While lecturing she strikes a balance between preparing us for the exams and fostering real learning. It is apparent that she is a very righteous person with a big heart. Overall, Dr. Cipriano is amazing to say the least.PSYC3404 2012-12-21 15:01:05 +0000 UTC
Developmental Psych: she's very nice, reads from lecture slides, makes everything available online, tells a lot of stories, brings her adorable baby to class to help us learn development. many different ways to score points (online video quizzes, in class tests, essay, virtual child simulation). Also helps that she's pretty attractive haha.PSYCH3404 2012-11-15 04:53:34 +0000 UTC
I took Stats and Developmental with Dr.C and she's great. She speaks in a way that's easy to understand, her powerpoints are very helpful and all online (so I skipped class a few times). All of our stats tests were open notes but a little difficult, developmental tests were very easy. Pretty much all multiple choice. She's a great professor.PSYC2302 2012-03-02 10:49:21 +0000 UTC
One of the best professors I've had at Northeastern. She's very dedicated to the class and genuinely wants you to do well (a lot of extra credit and very straight-forward tests). She also really knows what she's teaching and is able to clearly teach it. Easy A in a class where you still learn a lotDEVELPSYC 2011-08-16 22:28:26 +0000 UTC
i absolutely love this woman. her lectures are straight forward and filled with relevant examples. she's easy to get in touch with and brings in young kids for the class to observe which is really fun. tests are straightforward and don't have any tricks. take notes, use the study guides, and you'll get an A :)DEVPSYC 2010-11-06 22:40:30 +0000 UTC
Awesome class. A lot of class discussion but very fun. I learned a lot. What you get out of it is what you actually put in. Really like this class.PSYC4464 2010-04-30 00:45:34 +0000 UTC
She reads directly from the slides which gets extremely boring. She treats you like children, but the class is pretty easy. She grades papers very easy and overall the class is easyKLJKJHK 2009-12-02 15:10:25 +0000 UTC
A very frustrating class. Only read off the power point and I feel like class time was wasted in other students' personal stories. New teacher, and is used to working with young children, therefore treats her students that way. I would recommend not taking one of her classes.PSY404 2009-12-02 14:20:08 +0000 UTC
Great Teacher! She is so enthusiastic and helpful. She wants you to do well and it shows. It is not mandatory to go to class, and she usually just reads through the slides with some discussion. Going to class definitely is helpful though when it comes to the tests (which are multiple choice). I would strongly recommend this class.PSYCH404 2009-04-19 17:53:42 +0000 UTC
She is amazing! Developmental Psych with her was a great experience, she really knows what she's talking about and clearly loves the subject. She gives many opportunities for grades, including exams, a paper, and online assignments. HIGHLY recommend!PSYC3404 2012-11-30 15:46:05 +0000 UTC
Clear. Take home final. Made class interesting even though I didn't care about the material.PSYCH3404 2011-12-28 13:06:25 +0000 UTC
Nicest and most helpful teacher I have had at NEU. It is clear she taught young children prior, but it doesn't matter. She is easy to listen to and she actually helps you to learn the material, not trick you on the tests. Easy grader, I would absolutely recommend this class. Really interesting in-class observations of children as well.DEVELPSYC 2010-03-30 13:24:32 +0000 UTC
She previously taught young children, and it shows when she's teaching in a college classroom. . While she encourages class discussion, it usually went off into endless personal stories, which generally were irrelevant. All of the slides in class are taken directly from the book, which makes it easy to follow, but incredibly dull in class. I'd passPSY404 2009-09-04 09:57:52 +0000 UTC
New, great teacher. I wasn't interested in Developmental Psych, but all of the information taught in class is relative to anyone's interests. Fair grader, curves, easy in class assignments for points. Tests are all straight off of the slides that she posts on Blackboard. You do learn, and she makes sure her students are okay with the materialPSYCH404 2009-03-27 14:16:26 +0000 UTC
One of my favorite profs at NEU. She is incredibly knowledgable- her experience awes me. The powerpoints are great for taking good notes, and her stories are entertaining and useful. But most importantly she is very funny and nice and knows how to keep the class interested. Go to class, read the textbook, and you will get an A and have a good time.PSYC3404 2012-11-12 03:57:51 +0000 UTC
