I loved this class and changed my major to psyc afterPSYC1101 2026-01-02 19:35:14 +0000 UTC
legit goat - lots of reading. lots of writing. totally worth it. Finally felt confident as a student and a writer thanks to him. I would highly recommend this class and prof. prokosch. He was also nice enough to write a letter of rec for me for grad school, so maybe I'm biased, but I asked him for a reason.PSYC4664 2025-12-17 05:13:22 +0000 UTC
He is a good professor. He gives 4 paper over the semester which are due at different times. You can start them whenever. He does not give good feedback at all. He copied the comments he wrote for me and said the exact same thing to my friend. He does not offer extra credit so do well on the exams. Just be mindful if you are willing to do that.PSYC3402 2025-04-17 16:59:11 +0000 UTC
Mark is a great professor who makes class engaging and exciting. Even though he does not take attendance, I find myself excited to go to his class. His tests are a bit dense, but extremely straightforward if you study your lecture notes. Also, do not buy the textbook. It was expensive and I did not open it once.PSYCH1101 2019-11-20 19:32:02 +0000 UTC
Mark is amazing. He was accessible outside of class, very caring, and absolutely hilarious. He tries to make the content as fun as possible. Assignments are based on almost weekly papers, which were sometimes very annoying, and class presentations. As long as you show up to class, put in effort into your papers, and do as he asks, you'll get an A.PSYCH2290 2017-12-07 19:29:35 +0000 UTC
He's great! He's very nice, makes dad jokes, makes a point to not cut students off even when someone's story goes on for a while. Pretty clear about what the tests were on, but they were online open note so while some questions were tricky, you could figure it out. The homework seems intimidating but it's simple and easy and fairly graded. 10/10PSYC2290 2017-03-16 22:50:35 +0000 UTC
He's a cool guy and a great teacher. His lectures are interesting, especially the videos. He explains the material well and with humor. He assigns reading from the textbook, but just focus on the lecture slides, and you'll do well.PSYC02 2012-04-30 01:54:33 +0000 UTC
Professor will often let you out early. Lectures all had bonus freebie questions that were on the test, so go to class to get free points! Prokosch was a caring and understanding guy and his lectures were usually pretty interesting/entertaining. Fun class to take if you have an interest in psych, though tests are a lot of memorization.PSYC1101 2025-12-23 01:22:55 +0000 UTC
Did not enjoy this class—way too much work than required, and Prokosch can be unnecessarily harshPSYC4664 2025-12-16 01:27:05 +0000 UTC
Love this man. He's so funny and makes social psych so interesting to learn about. Genuinely learned a lot of applicable stuff from the class. Tests are pretty intuitive and easy to study for; he sometimes gives a free point or two. You don't need the textbook for the tests; just do the study guide and you're gold.PSYC3402 2024-04-25 14:54:48 +0000 UTC
Prof. Prokosch was great. If you take the class over the summer, be prepared for long lectures, but he makes them super interesting and uses a lot of videos etc. Make sure to go to class, tests are worth 75% of the grade and the material is entirely covered in class. there is also a service-learning requirement of 6hrs (you take psych experiments)PSYCH1101 2019-07-08 15:58:01 +0000 UTC
Prokosch is phenomenal.PSYC2290 2016-12-31 17:48:57 +0000 UTC
Hard tests. But very very nice personPSYC1101 2025-12-22 22:13:58 +0000 UTC
Professor Prokosch is the absolute best professor I have EVER had at Northeastern. He is incredibly personable and the best ‘dad figure' you could have for a college class. I felt incredibly safe coming to class - he is so nice and encouraging. He is pretty lenient in his grading too. I would literally pay to take a class with him again.PSYC4664 2025-05-03 07:51:09 +0000 UTC
Please protect this man. He is a gem. This is my second time taking him, and he didn't disappoint. I learned a ton though social psychology is pretty intuitive. There were four exams and four papers. He grades very leniently, and exams are based on lectures. Pretty much every class he came to talk to me to see how I was doing. Protect this man.PSYC3402 2024-04-24 05:39:09 +0000 UTC
