Super funny professor. Unfortunately only teachers two different courses. Would love to take another one with him, but already taking Develop with him, so he doesn't teach anything else above that. Very funny professor but majority of grade is exams (4 midterms + 1 final). Very heavy use on claude. Does not understand his own lectures and is often called out when information on slides are wrong. This is the class that really broke my spirit. I wanted to go into clinical, and taking this course felt like the right step forward. Not only were lectures him reading off of a large document, but he had AI-generated slides, AI-generated emails, and AI-generated tests. He is quite boring when lecturing, and often just reads off the powerpoint. There are 5 exams in total, 4 midterms and one final. Your final grade is purely based on how well you do on all the exams, there are no chances for extra credit. Group project was easy to complete. I think everything from the lectures to the exams was AI-generated. I feel like he doesn't really know the material that he teaches because every time someone asks a question, he asks the same question back to you, like "What do you think the answer is?" Very long and unnecessarily detailed exams with fill-in-the-blank questions that could be random adjectives. His lectures would not tell you much, as he would just read from a long note sheet. Definitely one of the worser professors I've had. He uses claude to generate a lot of his lectures. He also won't even open test results for students to go back and examine their incorrect answers. An intro class should not have been this difficult. He always contradicted himself and often let his own personal feelings affect the test answers. I'm sure he's better in other classes, he's a nice guy I enjoyed his lectures, but this course genuinely gave me gray hairs. It was impossible to get even an A-.
