really nice guy, everything you need is on the slides and the final study guide- personally im not good at math so i struggled- but the way the course is structured with a big part of your grade based on HW you should be fine unless you literally don't try at all.PSY2320 2025-12-19 01:28:09 +0000 UTC
Classes get boring because he sometimes rambles a little bit. Information is not very organized in the lecture slides, so there are a lot of gaps in information that you won't have for the tests. However, if the class doesn't perform to his expectations he gives extra credit. He was a nice teacher, just not many resources given to do well.PSYC3466 2025-12-15 18:52:56 +0000 UTC
4 quizzes, 4 HW assignments, 4 electronic HWs. Can be boring, but it's just the nature of the course and he does his best. He's a very good lecturer and cares ab ur success. I already took stats in high school, so I definitely was not the most checked in. If you haven't taken it, as long as you put in some dedication and effort you will be fine.PSYC2320 2025-12-05 17:06:49 +0000 UTC
AMAZING professor. So caring and makes assignments extremely clear to understand. Cognition Lab is a heavy class but he makes it super manageable. He's incredible!!PSYC4612 2025-04-10 17:37:16 +0000 UTC
Professor Eidson is a great professor for foundations but, his tests were rated pretty heavily (21% each). There are three tests which make up the majority of the grade. There are VERY EASY writing assignments, poll everywhere questions, and extra credit for 5 points on each test. Super nice professor and very caring of students.PSYC1101 2024-12-17 23:54:33 +0000 UTC
Very fair. What he said he would test is exactly what he tested. Never tried to trick you.PSYC3404 2024-04-27 02:32:36 +0000 UTC
I loved Dr. Eidson's class! He was super sweet and got to know all of us individually which I think is rare!! His lectures are thorough and there are plenty of easy assignments to raise your grade (you drop the 2 lowest assignments too). There was 2 extra credit assignments at the end. :)PSY2320 2025-12-17 14:46:20 +0000 UTC
Incredible lecturer, very smart and knows what he's talking about. Your grade is composed diversely -- online quizzes, three exams (plus final), and writing assignments. Offered extra credit for every exam bc averages were lower than he wanted. Tests are easy if you follow the study guide. Super nice, and accessible outside of class.PSYC3466 2025-12-10 17:40:11 +0000 UTC
He is super nice and an engaging lecturer. His class is paper based to a ridiculous degree. He does not allow calculator shortcuts and we barely use excel or spss. We run ANOVAs by hand. I didn't even think that was possible. There are easier stats profs. This is old school stats you will never use again. If that's your thing, then he's great.PSYC2320 2025-12-05 02:34:57 +0000 UTC
The best prof at NEU! This is my 2nd class with him and I'd just like to say - if you can take any of his classes, do it! His teaching style really helped me navigate the process of writing research papers. Feedback is super specific, improving my 2nd drafts. No exams. Grp project was an experiment you come up with and was such a fun experience.PSYC4612 2022-12-15 20:43:31 +0000 UTC
I'll give him some leeway because this was his first time teaching this course (I think), but I can't recommend. Everything felt rushed and underprepared.PSYC1101 2024-12-12 07:11:06 +0000 UTC
Dr. Eidson was a great professor for Developmental Psych this semester. Only 4 exams, 6 writing assignments, and no final which was super nice. He is always willing to help you and is very accommodating, just be sure to let him know if you have to miss class for any reason and he'll be understanding.PSYC3404 2015-12-16 12:42:40 +0000 UTC
Teacher was very nice and taught the class well. Exams weren't hard if you understood the homework, nothing tricky. Would sometimes have a hard time reaching him outside of class, but other than that the class was easyPSY2320 2023-12-13 23:01:03 +0000 UTC
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS the exams are like 50 ON PAPER mcqs and are impossible to study for, he rambles on in his lectures and his study guides are so broad compared to the specific questions he puts on the exams. theres writing assignments but they barely count so its all based on these awful exams. wanted to drop and withdraw the whole timePSYC3466 2025-11-20 15:48:46 +0000 UTC
great guy. conveyed the material in a way that's easy to understand and made stats fun. the only annoying part is the Excel/SPSS assignments, which were a pain and a bit useless in my opinion. however, the class is pretty easy and he drops your lowest quiz and homework grade.PSYC2320 2024-12-11 02:17:00 +0000 UTC
