Professor Grindle is a great guy and a great professor. I loved his biomechanics class and he was super helpful in his office hours and his TA's were great. Also very involved in class and great lectures. He is very anti-cheating so some people in our class who worked with one another on quizzes got reported so don't try and game him.BIOE2350 2025-08-29 17:12:26 +0000 UTC
Prof Grindle encourages participation by offering the class ec if we catch his mistakes. Lectures are sometimes hard to follow, but writing down the steps to the problems in class (there are a lot) will set you up for success on homework and take home quizzes. Very knowledgeable about biomechanics, but assumes you have a good basis in physics 1.BIOE2365 2024-05-06 06:23:43 +0000 UTC
This professor was fantastic! He was funny in class and kept even the most boring of topics exciting. All quizzes were take home, no tests, and all homework was group work. This class made me enjoy physics, specifically dynamics and energy, much more, and if you try and go to office hours, you'll easily get an A.BIOE2350 2025-04-20 17:21:38 +0000 UTC
Had Grindle for BMES. Workload was pretty light, and he was accessible outside of class for any questions. No attendance recorded except for the 4 in class quiz days. I truly do not know what more he could have done, he had the assumptions for every stats test and examples of when to use them in slides, and we did in class examples as well.BIOE2365 2024-05-06 06:17:47 +0000 UTC
Grindle is as great a prof as he could be for the course he teaches since it will be difficult no matter what. He records his lectures and is overall pretty flexible/understanding as long as it's before the deadline. He teaches practical skills and allows you to explore what you are passionate about. Weekly hw, 4 quizzes, and two major projects.BIOE2350 2025-01-07 19:27:35 +0000 UTC
Nice guy but unfortunately a horrible lecturer. Didn't know statistics going into biostats and fell behind quick while he assumes everyone took stats in high school. Makes a lot of corny jokes but they get old quick and he never really explains the principles of the tests we use. Rather, he just gives us a MATLAB script and tells us to run it.BIOE2365 2024-04-25 15:33:59 +0000 UTC
Chef Grindle is the GOAT. He's a great guy and a great professor. He is very understanding and willing to accommodate for a lot. Sometimes his lectures can feel a little slow, but they are still helpful. The content is tough, but he does everything he can to make it easier. The assignments are tough but doable.BIOE2350 2024-12-28 23:11:05 +0000 UTC

Grindle is a GREAT professor. the class is definitely tough, but he really cares about his students actually learning the material, and there are plenty of graded opportunities to do well outside of quizzes. some lectures were boring, but he always posted class notes. he is one of the most genuinely caring professors i've ever had.BIOE2350 2024-12-12 20:48:13 +0000 UTC
Prof. Grindle is a great professor. He had a twinkle in his eye like a mythical biomechanics chef and his lectures were always engaging. Homework was fair, grading was clear, turnaround time for grades was fast, and there was always communication between him and students about assignments. I'm honored to be a student in his first semester.BIOE2350 2023-12-03 21:48:52 +0000 UTC
Dr. Grindle was very relateable and was awesome in all of his lectures. He brought visuals and was extremely entertaining through the bland course material. While he may have been younger than I am, he seemed wise beyond his years.BIOE2350 2023-09-06 23:58:25 +0000 UTC
