My favorite course I have taken at Northeastern by far! His books are phenomenal, and his local Psychology connections are incredibly impressive. His exams are straightforward, I felt incredibly confident in the material! Professor DeSteno is pretty easy going. As long as you show up to the lectures, take detailed notes, and study, you should be able to get an A. Grades depend on 3 exams (all of which are short and multiple choice) so each exam matters, and participation on tophat. No other assignments besides that. social psych lab. very nice, knowledgeable professor. fun to design own labs, not too hard. text book is not necessary, just know APA format. only one exam, not too hard. speak up in class to make it interesting, he seems like a fun guy if only the class would TRY. not a hard grader and teaches important stuff, and does it pretty well.PSYLAB 2006-12-13 00:05:42 +0000 UTC

Easy professor and easy class, grade is determined by 3 exams that are all 30% of your grade (multiple choice) and then 10% attendance. He knows what he's talking about but the class is all lectures and they aren't always the most engaging. Best professor ever, has very interesting lectures and is super engaging. Only 3 tests, all multiple choice and there are no surprise questions, everything on them he went over in class. Very easy professor and an easy class. He puts a lot of animations on his PowerPoints so they flow as if you were watching a TED talk, which makes class very engaging. The class was super interesting and is an easy A if you pay attention and review your notes. I would say his downside is that he is not very accessible outside class, he only has a singular office hour each week, which is sometimes cancelled.
