I was quite excited for this class, but it was a lot more statistics-heavy than I expected. He's a very chill guy and will regrade questions if students argue their case, but the test are written to be confusing. Super engaging lecturer and made the class interesting. Attendance is not required, but he'll give a one-question pop quiz if he notices attendance is low. Course is new, but it's obvious there was no clear direction for this course. Never posts material on canvas unless asked multiple times for it. This makes it very difficult to study for the midterm which was in person. Midterm wasn't too difficult, but the final was a mess. Course is more of a psych class than neuro. Professor Richters seems nice and knows the subject, but the lectures are all over the place and don't make sense. Very knowledgeable about his lecture topics and genuinely enjoys what he is teaching. Clearly graded on 5 exams plus a group project. Exam questions can either be off the slides or not close at all but are still manageable since it is open note/take home. Richters was great. His grading criteria is pretty clear and he doesn't expect much. His exams can be tricky and some questions are difficult, but try and go to class as much as possible to avoid being overwhelmed. Attendance isn't mandatory, but it helps to go. Attendance is not mandatory and not taken but you should go to class or you will miss necessary material for the tests. Tests are online but weighed heavily. Professor Richters is great - so funny and cool. Be prepared to pay attention in class as tests can be tricky if you don't truly understand the material which is quite technical. Not once did he reply to an email. He was super nice, but none of the exam information was on slides. You had to be in class to learn the material (even then, it didn't match up with the test). Graded with 3 exams and 1 group presentation which are easy to pass. Attendance is not mandatory but please show up unless you would want a harder exam!
