Donica is great! She's so caring and understanding and really values each and every one of her students. Definitely ask for help after class if stuck on anything. Her exams are a little annoying but if you properly go over the material you'll do well. There is a reason why she has a 5-star rating - amazing teacher, and truly one of the nicest professors I've had at Northeastern. Her lectures are interesting and well-thought-out that promote engaging conversations. The assignments require hard work but are fun and very rewarding. What can I say about the incredible Donica O'Malley? She is the Messiah to Public Speaking. I have never had a teacher so kind, so willing to help. Whatever difficulties you face, they melt away as you step inside her classroom. I promise you will end the semester with a newfound confidence, a newfound identity. Dr. O'Malley is one of the sweetest you'll meet! She allows you to feel as comfortable as possible while taking a class that is typically frightening to most-- public speaking. The reading is super easy and can be skimmed. Her grading is not harsh and her feedback is always helpful (she gives positive and negative). So thankful for her! She was super flexible when I had to miss class for family emergency reasons. I wasn't great at public speaking (actually terrified of it and I had anxiety on speech days), but I definitely got better as the class went on.
