Duncan is an amazing professor, you can bring notes to tests, and the homework overall isn't bad.GE1501 2026-02-05 22:26:05 +0000 UTC
Great professor with extremely kind grading. He genuinely cares about his students and their wellbeing, offering tons of opportunities for extensions and extra credit. Email responses are extremely quick and he is obviously very well versed in the topics, offering good advice.GE1502 2025-09-28 21:23:47 +0000 UTC
Great professor that can give you a solid intro to coding, design, and team-oriented projects. All tests and quizzes are very manageable, and he allows you to bring cheat sheets. The C++ exam and quiz were both on paper, not online. Grading for the final project was very lax, even if your project wasn't the best. Very passive aggressive sometimes.GE1500 2024-12-10 22:03:47 +0000 UTC
He's not bad- kind of a yapper and does a lot of random stuff. Felt like the class was a lot of busy work, but he tries his best. Some things are challenging but you'll be ok, it's an easy A if you put in a little bit of effort.GE1501 2026-01-07 16:51:19 +0000 UTC
One of the best profs I've had. Amazing guy, committed to our best experience possible. I learned a lot from him. The whole class is game themed which was fun and the projects interesting. He knows his stuff and is super reasonable. GE 1502 tests were mostly online 10 attempts. Take cornerstone with Davis if possible, you won't regret it!GE1502 2025-04-15 18:35:11 +0000 UTC
Love him, very fun and engaging classroom. Homework wasn't without challenge but always had some funny theme to it. Encouraged creativity and learningGE1500 2024-11-25 02:05:11 +0000 UTC
Dr. Davis is an amazing professor. Lectures were very helpful and done very well. The group project is well structured and quite fun, try not to get too behind with it though. You will learn in this class if you put even just a little effort in. He is very understanding and always offers free extensions. C++ tests are in person but are manageable.GE1501 2024-12-18 04:47:33 +0000 UTC
Dr Davis is awesome. He has very clear expectations and is available and willing to help you. He is very accessible via email and is chill with extensions.GE1502 2023-04-13 20:59:46 +0000 UTC
Very approachable and obviously interested in the material. If you go to class, you will be fine.GE1500 2024-07-24 22:06:02 +0000 UTC
Really solid teacher for an intro-level class. you don't need to put in tons of effort to come out with an A, but high effort will be rewarded with bonus points. Just don't use AI on coding until past midterms for HW or on the online exams, only time I've seen this guy get mad.GE1501 2023-12-01 17:02:23 +0000 UTC
Fully admits he is terrible at explaining material and writing instructions. Homework is very difficult to follow and seems to take off points randomly. Not usually very helpful when using programs. He's very into puzzles though if you are into that.GE1502 2018-04-13 12:58:57 +0000 UTC
GREAT! I took for engineering design and i loved it! hes very entertaining and class is super interactive -- you get out what you put in. quizzes are 10 tries and open note and homework is mostly pretty fun (room to be creative), definitely takes some time though. unique class format and learned a bunch -- built escape room as final project!GE1500 2023-04-07 19:14:57 +0000 UTC
Professor David is a wonderful person. Lectures are very good! In the first half of the semester you'll have to work a little harder so that the required homework does't have to be done in parallel with projects when semester ends. Don't use ChatGPT for homework&tests, he sees this very clearly and can resort to the measure of C++ tests on paper.GE1501 2023-11-17 16:26:30 +0000 UTC
Awesome professor, made Cornerstone so fun and really cares about his students. Only class I actually enjoyed this semester tbhGE1500 2021-12-07 22:43:53 +0000 UTC
He is very enthusiastic. The tests are well structured. The homework is helpful, but so long that at one point in time it is no longer helpful but just tedious. He has a very hyper- "You're an adult, toughen up" mentality to a point where it's not even an adult thing but just a power trip. The class is also unorganized especially the final project.GE1501 2023-04-13 20:28:28 +0000 UTC
