Genuinely just a really great professor. I had a better experience with international business than all of my other friends who took it with other professors. She cares about each student and genuinely wants them to learn and develop. Just make quizlets for the tests and pick a good group at the beginning. Highly recommend this teacher for anyone wanting to take international business. She is extremely nice, always available to meet with you, and clear on telling you what she expects in work. Majority of grade is based off of participation, attendance, and in class excercises that are guaranteed 100's. I did not like this because I never went to class. However, if you aren't intelligent and would like to be graded more on coming to class, definately the one to take. Prof. Banalieva is one of the best professors I've had. Somewhat of a tough grader for presentations/debates; gives a lot of partial credit on exams and you learn SO much. One midterm and one final (non-cumulative.) You get what you put in so don't half ahh your way thru bc it'll show. There's also like no hw. Super sweet lady and is clearly passionate in intb. VERY group-project heavy but not bad if you get a good group-you pick your groups day1 and are with them til the end. Participation matters A LOT. She was a great professor and really nice. Interesting class but be prepared for lots of group work. She does grade tough on certain assignments but at the end slightly curves grades. There is a lot of work, and you spend a lot of time outside of class, but she is very fair. I learned a great deal from this professor, and really enjoyed the class.
