He gives pop quizzes but they are not hard at all. He is a very generous grader and a very nice guy. He also has great humor.BUSN1101 2025-12-11 00:46:14 +0000 UTC
Fully asynch course but if you needed help getting points, you just imessage or call him. He cares less about the work and more about your success so if you communicate often, interact with the canvas page (he tracks clicks and time on it for participation) you will do well. He really cares about the outcome of his students!FINA4412 2025-12-08 23:55:27 +0000 UTC
Awesome professor! Definitely make sure to get a good group in the beginning of the semester for the simulation. The class is super interesting and interactive. He is very accessible outside of class and always there to answer questions if you have any. The content is difficult, but Prof. Muscolino makes it fun.FIN3303 2025-04-15 19:13:46 +0000 UTC
Wonderful man and professor. The class is engaging, and Professor Muscolino does a good job integrating current news and events into behavioral finance concepts. Participation matters and group assignments and presentations are the norm. Find a good group of students and take ownership of the casework for specific companies, and you will have fun!FINA4220 2024-04-28 20:31:59 +0000 UTC
Really nice guy, but the majority of actual learning comes from the textbooks. Group projects were interesting but I found the combo of too little guidance + grading projects on a strict rubric to be frustrating. Course materials are disorganized, deadlines updated on the fly (keep your Canvas notifications enabled or else you'll miss something).FINA6200 2023-04-06 19:21:27 +0000 UTC
Professor Muscolino gives out a year-long project at the beginning of the school year, so choose your groupmates wisely. You must buy the textbook to do Connect assignments. One midterm (20%) and final exam (20%) were both taken upon the professor's decision and the class's preference.FINA2201 2022-12-20 02:44:30 +0000 UTC
Extreme lack of structure, does very little to no explaining. The bulk of his lectures is him going on Bloomberg and talking. Also an unreasonable amount of work for this class. Didn't learn anythingFIN3301 2022-11-30 17:31:31 +0000 UTC
Firstly, Professor Muscolino does not deserve anything less than a 3. Only downside is that he is disorganized and can be hard to follow sometimes. However, he is not a hard grader, students will always be doing very manageable group work. Exams are online open note and questions are straight forward. Extra credit also offered frequently.FIN2201 2022-11-02 00:25:07 +0000 UTC
He is trying to be funny, but he's not. He likes to talk about Bloomberg and other stuff in class. Be prepared to learn all the formulas and concepts by yourself, cuz he ain't teaching in class. The homework is crazy, we never learned anything related to what's on the homework.FINA6219 2022-07-22 01:06:17 +0000 UTC
ONE OF THE GREATEST FINANCE PROFESSORS EVER. Very lucky to have him here at Northeastern University!FINA3303 2022-04-12 16:07:35 +0000 UTC
He was a great professor. I actually felt like we touched on abstract questions related to investments in class as oppose to the normal NU finance requirement classes where we just read the textbook (via PPTs) in class and work on end of chapter problems (what boring people love doing).FINA3301 2021-01-17 15:51:04 +0000 UTC
Work hard and you will love it. Always willing to help outside of class and gives great feedback.FIN6212 2016-11-06 13:59:57 +0000 UTC
One of the best professors I had at NEU. I think people who dont like him dont understand how to compbine theory with the real worldFINA6203 2013-06-13 09:20:02 +0000 UTC
Very helpful. Uses real world examples. Take this class!FIN303 2010-04-12 11:36:27 +0000 UTC
He's a nice guy but it was so hard to read him. It seemed like he was a different person everyday. He was hypocritical. He showed up 30 minutes late one day but scolded students if they showed up 5 minutes late. Super unclear expectations! He said we did amazing on a project, then gave us a terrible grade.BUSN1101 2025-12-07 19:50:53 +0000 UTC
