He speaks very slowly and his tests are almost completely based on his powerpoint presentations. Usually consists of about 40 multiple choice questions, not very well worded. Very nice and somewhat helpful if you speak to him during office hours, but his teaching is not inspiring.PSYC1101 2014-12-15 16:50:01 +0000 UTC
Very easy! Going to class garentees an A, but it is so hard not to fall asleep! Accent is ridiculous. However, alternative teacher is extremely difficult grading. So he is definitely the better choice!PSYC1001 2012-02-15 00:27:47 +0000 UTC
He is a very easy teacher with 5 tests but drops the lowest. Exact thing as HS psych. If you don't go to class, read the book. Easiest class of my freshman year.PSY101 2009-07-27 12:38:05 +0000 UTC
Professor Naarendorp, what an intelligent and kind man. His weakness is not being able to convey the material clearly and in a way that interests his students. What does that mean? READ THE SLIDES AND TEXTBOOK! 3 exams (70%) and 3 homework assignments (30%). Go to his office hours, he's super nice!PSYU452 2009-01-11 18:58:05 +0000 UTC
I signed up for his 8am intro to psych class thinking it would be an easy A and it was. (it was also boring at times) We had 5 exams including the final which were all weighted equally and he ended up dropping our lowest grade. Either read the textbook or go to class and take notes, you don't have to do both to get an A.PSYU101 2008-05-06 02:19:43 +0000 UTC
Great class! Naarendorp makes it really interesting and we watch movies and have discussions with the lecture. Class is rarely boring and he is a very fair and easy grader. Make sure you go to class because he doesn't put notes on blackboard, but is totally willing to go over missed material if you go to his officePSYU458 2007-12-07 18:23:19 +0000 UTC
really nice guy, funny but kinda boring, not the most entertaining class but thats what you get for an 8am....read the book and study the review guides he gives you a day or two before the exmas and you will be setPSYCH 2006-01-11 11:26:32 +0000 UTC
This professor is unbelievably boring, especially at the 8am hour. He told us the first day of class that we should bring coffee because he wasn't entertaining! Horrible prof who lectures with his eyes closed. He ruined my interest in this subject completely! Don't take his class and if you have to just read the book. RUN AWAY QUICKLY!!!PSY542 2005-12-20 09:54:05 +0000 UTC
He is really nice with a calm voice. The only work is 5 tests throughout the semester. If you go to class the day before each test for the study guide you're fine. It's pretty hard not to get a good grade.PSYCHOLOGY 2005-10-26 17:25:32 +0000 UTC
Really funny guy... has to work on not tripping on that rope, but he gives plenty of examples and makes the material really clear. A very enjoyable class.INTROTOPSYCH 2005-10-19 12:37:58 +0000 UTC
Charismatic. Always smiling. Good diversity of teaching materials which kept his class somewhat interesting. If you can understand what he is saying...write it down... it may be useable in future translation documents.SENSPERC 2005-09-17 19:09:04 +0000 UTC
He is a really nice guy and explains the concepts very well. The class is relatively easy if you understand the concept of an action potential and other basic things. If you miss class it will not hurt you. No attendance and the tests are about 35 question multiple choice and easy. Very nice though.PSY452 2005-01-25 22:34:46 +0000 UTC
Having a background in psychology myself, i dont think he explained anything to the point where people would understand it. But at the same time, since i knew what he was talking about, it was interesting.PSYCH101 2005-01-21 13:48:48 +0000 UTC
Nice guy, he tries hard, but the class is very boring. You dont need to go to class at all to do well. Just do the reviews, because that is exactly what is on the tests, which are mulitple choiceSENSANDPERC 2005-01-06 18:34:53 +0000 UTC
nice guy, tests based off mostly book and some lecture. i loved his teaching style and he is always willing to see your side of things. reviews are key. skipping class every once in awhile won't kill you at all. i enjoyed his lectures, a bit dry but to the pointINTROPSYCH 2004-11-18 14:20:50 +0000 UTC
