Prof Kimball made stats very easy to understand! He was very nice and clearly wanted his students to succeed. Class was pretty easy, exams were online/take-home, and grading is based on 4 exams and 4 homework. One of the most straightforward and simple professors I have had at Northeastern. Very nice guy. His lectures usually end early and the grade is based on take home quizzes and homework assignments. He was great. Lectures were on interesting topics and he did a good job of including other materials like videos and documentaries to expand on his slides. Had a couple exams and then group and individual projects due at the end of the semester. Nice guy and I enjoyed attending class even though it wasn't mandatory. Professor Kimball is a fascinating guy and his course was an easy A. Quizzes are straight off the ppts and papers are graded easily. However, it is still a very interesting and valuable class. I took PSYC2315 with him, the online psych stats supplement. Syllabus is very clear about the grading criteria, and the class is very self-paced after he posts each module. His recorded lectures are very helpful and the assignments are easy after watching them. Run of the mill professor. Grade comes from homework and online quizzes. Homework was a direct indicator of the quizzes. The class was average, but an okay option for when you're choosing your stats course. Great professor. Makes stats very easy through lots of examples and practice problems. Grade comes from homework, a short reflection paper, and online, all-day quizzes. I truly would have failed any other stats class not taught by him, he made learning stats easy and I am not a numbers or math person whatsoever. As long as you do the homeworks, the quizzes are basically the same. Quizzes are take home and you can do it during any time in the day , as long as it's before 11:59pm.
