Probably the best of the Thermo professors. Cares a lot about students learning and tries to connect with them. My one complaint is that his knowledge on the subject is very practical to the field, not necessarily the exam material. He'll try to help students out whenever possible but the course itself is extremely difficult so make sure to study!THERMO 2024-12-17 23:19:07 +0000 UTC
Not just one of the best professors I've had, but also one of the kindest. He teaches clearly and gives fair assignments and exams, and lectures are valuable and enjoyable. Highly recommendME7270 2023-04-06 14:23:35 +0000 UTC
I have had him for two semesters in a row, and he is an amazing professor. He takes feedback from students and really cares that we are learning as much as we can. He uses humor to keep the class engaged, which helps as the class is pretty long. Overall, he is a great professor, and I hope to have him again.ME3475 2022-04-22 22:02:27 +0000 UTC
A very knowledgeable instructor at Thermodynamics he motivates you to push yourself beyond your imagination. You may not get the best grade however you'll learn a lot. In addition he loves turbines and talks a lot about GETHME23803475 2016-07-24 19:52:09 +0000 UTC
I lived in his office by the end of the semster. He is the hardest teacher you will EVER have but he is beyond helpful because he is very knowledgable. It wasn't uncommon to spend more than an hour per problem. You may not get a great grade, but you will learn so much!MIMU380 2009-01-05 13:11:47 +0000 UTC
What everyone else said. Very hard, 5 hrs of homework a night. A really good teacher willing to help you.THERMDYN 2006-11-06 18:18:06 +0000 UTC

This guy is the best prof at NU. The best if you want to learn-not necessarily get a good grade. He will push like you have never been pushed before. HIs assignments are ruthless and he doesn't care about your social life, but you will learn! If you want to learn he is the prof to have!THERMALDESIGN 2005-09-09 11:46:20 +0000 UTC
Hameed is one of few teachers who actually cares about each individual student passing. So he helps alot in office hours and even meets you when he is busy. But he takes you through hell and back before you can pass his class. Over 10 hrs of HW a week.THERMO2 2003-08-05 08:38:47 +0000 UTC

Amazing. Lectures are useful and relevant (don't skip class..he gives test hints). He gives very clear instructions as to what will be on exams and if you put in the work (doing example problems and actually doing homework or at least going back and making sure you can do it on your own if you initially copy the answer key), you can get an A.THERMO 2022-06-21 21:41:55 +0000 UTC
His class wasn't easy but he really tries his hardest to teach the material. He's super friendly when you come to his office hours and you'll definitely leave knowing a lot more than when you entered.ME7270 2022-02-03 03:23:43 +0000 UTC
Very solid professor all around. Fun course. Get ready for a lot of homework though. Fair grader, would take again.ME3475 2022-04-22 20:28:53 +0000 UTC
a genius at thermo, not as good at fluids though. He will be one of the hardest professors you'll ever have. Quite a funny guy and pretty chill. You can literally text him about homework problems. Its very likely to mess up at least one of his midterms in the course. But he curves a lot, so an A is not impossible if you review all the homeworkTHME23803475 2013-06-24 16:55:03 +0000 UTC
There was so much work I was dreaming in equations. But, all the work paid off because if you paid attention and did everything, it would eventually click. I thought he did a great job, specially for a summer semester (more like 20 hrs of hw a week!).MIMU380 2005-08-30 20:33:16 +0000 UTC
