Dr.Bilge's lectures are extremely boring and do not cover any real content - it is mostly common sense with random examples and useless exercises we have to do. Her feedback on assignments is nothing as well. Extremely easy class and Professor Bilge is really understanding. Lectures are fun as she tells a lot of stories and examples, but this comes back to bite as the exams are much more difficult than what is covered in class. She goes on these tangents and most of time the questions on her exam is not addressed in class. She doesn't teach in a linear manner, so if you don't learn effectively that way avoid her at all cost!! She has an attitude sometimes which makes it hard to be interested in her content. Professor Bilge is a lovely person and highly passionate about psychology. However, she struggles to stay organized, and her lectures are often challenging to understand because she goes all over the place. I really like Professor Blige's course! She was a very entertaining lecturer, and the content was interesting, though repetitive to earlier psych classes. There wasn't too much work outside of class either, definitely an easy A as long as you do your work and show up. Ignores textbook, just unorganized lectures. Lectures slides are 99% pictures and INCOMPLETE sentences. Test are MC and fill in the blank with no word bank, so she wants you to read her mind, I guess. Random topics on test, useless study guide, & tiny curve. Prof Bilge is a really nice and funny prof and she tries to get her students to understand the topics. You do have to come to class in the off chance she gives an ICA. She is the worst professor I have ever had. With the way she teaches, you have to study a ton on your own. Prepare for horrible slides and her talking to herself the entire class. If you're a psych major & taking this class bc it genuinely interests you, DO NOT TAKE IT. She will make you hate your life and psych as a whole after taking the class. Ultimately switched out of the psych major after taking this class, and wish I had taken the other professor. If 0/5 stars were an option, I would rate her zero. Shes one of those teachers who makes very weird comments thinking its funny. She never has clear answers when a student asks her a great question, instead she pretends like she didnt hear it. Lectures are just her slides. Must go to class to get credit for in-class-only questions. Tests are manageable, just make sure to take notes/study slides after every lecture; leans more self-study than in-class learning. 2 midterms, 1 final, each worth 25%.
