I earned an A. I would not recommend this professor. His responses to student participation often felt dismissive and unnecessarily condescending. I became reluctant to raise my hand because I never knew whether my answer would be taken seriously. You got only 2 chances to fail a regrade request, you can't request any regrade after that. I don't know why would anyone think this is reasonable, especially given the quality of his TAs who tried so hard to fail your regrade request, this makes no sense at all. Pretty hit-or-miss. He's a great professor when you're passionate about the subject, but the assignments can be time-consuming if you're only taking this for nupath. Imo xss and sql injection lessons were confusing but might've just been me. Justin is a good professor, sure a few lectures can be a bit confusing and the grading can be nitpicky but he makes up for it with an ungodly amount of extra credit. Sorry, but if you can't handle this class, good luck in the real world. This was a very easy class, I barely lost a point the whole semester. Class is fun and nothing is too hard, all of the projects/HW take a few hours max. Don't get the bad reviews for him at all, the class was enjoyable and overly fair if anything. Focuses on teaching practical skills rather then on grades making the class engaging for me. lectures were always fun and interactive. I'm actually in the online section of this course (different prof), but he interacts with remote & in-person students so much that he might as well be the prof for both (also the online class uses mostly his lecture materials anyways).
