Awesome guy, I wasn't a big dynamics person but he was always super helpful in the reviews before tests. Lectures were decent, Jahir is amazing.ME3455 2025-12-28 18:03:15 +0000 UTC
He's a great lecturer, and the concepts are usually simple. However, the homework is VERY difficult and requires thought/time. Exams are usually ok though somewhat time/error sensitive, and he curves if needed. The design project is a disaster. Takes way too much time to complete, only worth 10% of the final. Don't even bother with tasks 2 and 3.ME2350 2021-04-23 20:19:07 +0000 UTC
Jahir Pabon is very very passionate and it is clear in his lectures. He does a good job making the course content interesting. However, the course is very difficult and takes a lot of time. Additionally, there are no online meetings or class recordings so missing a class due to sickness is just tough luck. Otherwise, he is great!!ME3455 2025-12-03 20:53:36 +0000 UTC
Very good professor. Teaches in a way thats easy to understand and very straightforward. Knows his stuff very well and can explain anything. Very encouraging of questions. Office hours are super helpful and no question is a dumb question. Will adjust grades and coursework if theres poor performance or if theres something unfair.ME2350 2021-04-15 15:32:59 +0000 UTC
Hi is very passionate and just wants us to learn. He is also very easy to reach outside of class, whether over email or in person, and delivers very clear explanations when you ask questions. Offers many opportunities for extra credit if you participate. He is knowledgeable about the subject as well.ME3455 2025-04-21 18:10:03 +0000 UTC
You have to pay attention to do well in this class--he does lots of practice problems during lecture and is always available for help outside of class, but leaves it up to you to be self starting. As long as you follow along, the workload is pretty light.ME2350 2021-02-22 16:31:20 +0000 UTC
Jahir is very passionate about Dynamics and that energy makes the class enjoyable. However, he does use slides heavily so the class is a bit lecture heavy. He will work out more complex problems is always happy to go into more detail / review again if asked. His grading is fair and the extra credit on HW is a great way to earn higher grade.ME3455 2024-09-05 23:02:45 +0000 UTC
This professors lectures were useless. He only read off of the powerpoint slides and would tell students to do the problems by themselves at home instead of showing them how to solve them. He was very nice, but not the best teacher.ME3455 2024-04-25 23:55:15 +0000 UTC
It is really important to go to office hours. My first exam, I got a 70. I started going to office hours, and my next 2 exams were 90s. He is really nice and always answers questions respectfully even if the question is dumb. He also gives a lot of chance for grade redemption (your grade on the final exam can replace bad midterm grades).ME3455 2024-01-08 19:34:18 +0000 UTC
Super nice guy but sometimes his lectures seem a little long/dry. Often offered extra credit for class participation and tried to create a good environment. Kind of difficult exams and quizzes but not impossible.ME3455 2022-01-31 17:43:54 +0000 UTC
A nice guy, but midterms just ruin your grade in a relatively easy class. You should better learn economics and the concept of relative cost rather than dynamics. You have to decide weather you want to submit partial problem on time or spend more time just to receive a half of what you have lost due to a late submission. Really bad organization.ME3455 2021-03-22 23:53:12 +0000 UTC
Not great at getting the point across. Homework is much easier than the test. Hard to prep with lack of knowledge of materialME3455 2020-07-07 04:24:49 +0000 UTC
