Prof K is amazing! Please choose her research design lab of PSYC4600! I really enjoyed her class, she sets the syllabus very clear, and give extra credit at the beginning of the semester. I would say the main complaint is grading, as it is composed entirely of quizzes and tests based on lectures and readings. Not necessarily a bad thing, but there is a lot of content to learn for weekly quizzes. I have heard easier things about other professors for this class in terms of grading. Dr KR is honestly an icon. She takes a 3 hour seminar or lab block type class (mine was a lab), and makes it enjoyable. I can NEVER focus for more than 30 minutes, and she manages to make her 3 hour class accessible, interesting and engaging. Great professor! Class is lectures that are engaging/fun to listen. In class attendance encouraged, but records and broadcasts every class on zoom too. 1 multiple choice midterm halfway through the semester/final paper of 2-3 pages. TAKE THE OTHER PROFESSORS. She rushes through lectures (super dense), so they're useless to go to. Many questions for exams were never mentioned in lectures or lecture slides, it's impossible to be fully prepped. Have her for personality, not cognition, but she is really really good. Super engaging lecturer, really nice and funny, and honestly really easy class. Professor Kariotis-Rice cares a lot about her students. It is not difficult to do well in her class, as our grade is made up of different types of assignments. She is an extremely engaging lecturer and is clearly interested in what she talks about. Amazing lectures and made all the topics easy to understand. The grade is only for quizzes and exams but she drops the 2 lowest quiz grades anyway and offers extra credit. She is so caring and funny in her lectures, and you will learn so much if you pay attention. This was an amazing intro to psych class compared to my AP class.
