If you're taking considering taking Dr. Adams, you totally should! Although attendance is mandatory, it is literally impossible not to get an A in this class since it is worth 30% of your grade. Social psychology with Dr. Adams was hands down the best class I have taken at Northeastern. He is super understanding about late assignments as long as they are not regular and you show effort in class. Professor Adams was very good and helpful. Attendance is mandatory but for most classes you end up leaving early anyways. He cares about his students and understands that Statistics is a somewhat boring class and he tries to make it fun. Genuinely a great professor. News flash: lectures are not supposed to be for your entertainment. They are supposed to be informational and might be boring sometimes, but Dr. Adams does his best to include fun demonstrations and stories to help students understand the topics better. If you can't handle his mildly inappropriate jokes that he makes because we are all ADULTS... go back to middle school. His sense of humour and ability to connect to us makes this class so much easier to understand and way more bearable. Attendance is very mandatory but prof adams is a really funny guy so they were enjoyable. Exams were easy and based solely on his lectures so you have to pay attention in class, and there is no final. Dr Adams is pretty mean. Whenever his students are having difficulties due to his sloppy teaching style, he'll outwardly call them out and moan his frustrations when he's the one who can't teach effectively. Professor Adams is great he really understands how boring statistics is and wants his students to be engaged. He also really cares about student feedback and keeps trying to improve his class the longer he is here at Northeastern. The only thing I wish he did was round up grades or include extra credit.
