He canceled class all the time and when we had it he would not even teach. One of the coolest and nicest professors I've had so far. He really cares for students and is very understanding and empathetic. He does give quite a bit of homework but it is quite doable. I love John! My favorite professor so far. He starts class asking how you are doing, and really cares about each and every student. There is a lot of outside work but if you have other things going on just email him and he will understand. Amazing person and professor, highly recommend. Love this man. One of the few classes where I felt like I was actually learning even if I wasn't always giving my full attention. If you are struggling, he will go more than out of his way to help you and be understanding. Hands down one of the best professors you will EVER interact with. Sangster cares about each student as a human being and sets clear expectations for work in the course. He is funny and has great availibility for in person and online office hours. Sangster definitely cares about his students. In general, wants to see you succeed in the class. That being said, if you're right on the brink of getting an A (within half a point of 94) but not quite there, he will under no circumstances round your grade up; you'll get the A-. Professor Sangster is one of my favorites that I've had thus far. He is incredibly understanding and truly wants every student to succeed. One of my favorite professors so far at northeastern. Not only is he a good person but I have learned a lot of the engineering basics in his class. He has each of the types of assignments due on the same day every week so it's pretty hard to forget about an assignment. Grading is pretty easy as long as it is turned in on time. Amazing guy. Very understanding of his students, and very clear with what he wants from you in terms of assignments and effort. Extremely responsive via email & Teams, will help you as best as he can (would often completely fix my code for me). John is super nice and really cares about creating a healthy learning environment. He is pretty flexible with assignments as long as you communicate with him.
