Very easy class, but also you won't learn much. Major topics are redirected to outside references instead of being fully taught in class. It feels like he just memorized things with no real scientific explanation. Questions rarely got detailed answers. A lot of people dropped by week two. Honestly this did not feel graduate-level. The lectures often seemed rushed and overly reliant on memorized notes, and questions were not answered clearly. I really enjoyed the machine learning class. Professor Zhu took the time to jump into the theory and derive important results by hand. I especially enjoyed the final project and thought that the emphasis on PINNs was great. I would take another class with him!ME5510 2026-04-24 20:00:39 +0000 UTC
