I dreaded taking Public Speaking, but Prof. Lind made it a good class. She's super compassionate when it comes to our speech anxiety and such, and she's really funny. Katie makes the class very fun and exciting and one to look forward to. Recent happenings in the world always come up for discussion and everyone enjoys stating claims and opinions. She is very friendly, funny and considerate. Professor Lind cares so much about her students and her job! She was so sweet and patient with all the students in our class. Each week there would be 1-2 textbook readings, but they wouldn't take more than an hour. Very fair grader and very understanding of all our personal lives. Katie is such an amazing teacher. She is quirky, intelligent, and really passionate about teaching. She is super approachable and friendly and wants her students to succeed. Amazing teacher. Not worried about my grade in the class. She starts every lecture with an engaging topic and it's always a fun conversation. There are clearly strong speakers and weak speakers in my class, but she truly values everyone's style and encourages growth and reflection. SUCH a useful class. Decent teacher. One aspect I did dislike is she is the type of teacher to not give A's simply because she doesn't want to give A's. I would ask for reasoning behind grades and she would have no critique yet would still dock points w/out reason.
