Lectures are engaging, readings are tough but interesting, and as long as you come to class you should have what you need to do well. Did badly on the first assignment but went to office hours and got feedback + help for future ones; as long as you show you care, he's willing to help. Go to office hours if you can!PHIL1145 2021-07-30 18:41:13 +0000 UTC
The readings are tough, but the content is really interesting and the professor makes the course really fun.PHIL1145 2020-08-07 02:30:34 +0000 UTC
Kevin Mills is a great teacher. He has a very down-to-earth personality, and that definitely helps when discussing broad philosophical topics. The bulk of the grades in this class come from writings you have to do (either on tests or papers). Professor Mills is pretty clear about how he grades these writings which makes it easy to do well on them.PHIL1145 2020-08-07 01:41:43 +0000 UTC
Kevin Mills seems like a nice guy but his grading system is the worst. Daily quizzes are not worth the 20 pages of reading he assigns every class, but its enough to impact your grade. There are two essays and exams and thats where most of your class grade goes, which isnt that bad if he wasnt such a hard and subjective grader for everything.PHIL1145 2020-04-14 04:27:03 +0000 UTC
