Take this course if you like discussion groups and participating regularly. Can be a bit disorganized and late, but he makes up for it with flexibility, content, and personality. Showing up and doing the work is really all you need. Don't take this if you just care about credits! Professor Nisbet is a nice guy, but I would never recommend any of his classes. He assigns SO much reading per class, sometimes 100+ pages. He was never responsive over email and Canvas was constantly disorganized. I had to submit work after I had already graduated Northeastern because it took him so long to grade my rough draft. He does not have a high regard for student time. Kind man who is knowledgable about material, but he never grades things on time, never posts homework on time, and missed/cancelled class multiple times.
