While I understand why some students do not like him, Medhi cares about his students' success. He is very strict, a very tough grader, and takes no disrespect, however he only wants the best for us, and will push you until you achieve it.ME2380 2025-12-16 13:26:24 +0000 UTC
In the beginning, he gave a good scare for what was to come in the semester, but I found the course to be pretty good. If you do the homework, you will get good grades on the exam. He always hints about what the questions will be, so do NOT ignore him. He is very helpful during office hours and he really cares for his students to do well.ME4570 2025-01-19 18:20:18 +0000 UTC
Literally the funniest man ever. Loved his dry humor, but also he would drone on in lectures. Very hard to pay attention to. He speaks with a lot of long pauses in btwn sentences and is not super clear when doing practice problems. Hard to follow, accent made it a little bit harder as well. But he cares how students do and wants them to succeed.ME2350 2024-09-04 22:39:22 +0000 UTC
Mehdi is tough, but he cares! Took 3 classes with him that had a serious impact on my career.ME4702 2023-11-12 21:07:51 +0000 UTC
Abedi was a tough but fair professor and you get out what you put in. If you do the homework, pay attention in class, and ask questions, the class is straightforward. The exams are straightforward as well and follow the concepts in the homeworks.ME3475 2022-08-18 14:20:48 +0000 UTC
Abedi is one of the funniest professors you will have in engineering. His sense of humor adds to the class and he does a good job building intuition into lectures. He has a big emphasis on participation which makes the class very engaging so don't skip! He will know if you do, and will call you out. Thermo seems daunting but Abedi makes it easy.ME2380 2024-09-05 22:50:03 +0000 UTC
It's hard to evaluate a professor fairly when a course is inherently difficult. However, I can say that he is more than willing to help (in person- he doesn't really reply to emails). What I didn't like was his organizational and planning skills. The HW solutions were sometimes posted less than 24 hrs before an exam.ME4570 2024-12-12 17:58:03 +0000 UTC
Bro is a whole villainME2350 2023-10-17 04:16:39 +0000 UTC
He will come off maybe rude and tough but at the end of the day he is all about LEARNING. He wants you to learn and be a better engineer. One of the best teachers Ive had!ME4702 2018-05-09 19:52:27 +0000 UTC
Horrendously unorganized. Incredibly difficult to following what he was communicating in lectures due to his horrible handwriting and his refusal to show or share any sort of slide deck. He did not tell us when tests were less than a week before they happened and they were outside of class time, so I couldn't coordinate my work schedule properly.ME3475 2022-05-20 18:12:18 +0000 UTC
Abedi is a great professor who understands the content well and knows how to convey it clearly to his students. While the content is challenging and exams are difficult the course is manageable.ME2380 2023-12-08 20:34:59 +0000 UTC
Do not take this professor if you want to learn. Did not learn a single thing during his lectures, he was consistently late, and always spends half the class on random rants. He never responds to your emails and never posts anything on canvas.ME4570 2024-04-25 23:49:47 +0000 UTC
I took statics with him and he taught us the material after we had homework due on it. We had to read the textbook to figure it out and use the internet which renders him useless except for somewhat reinforcing concepts.ME2350 2019-06-20 05:11:24 +0000 UTC
Mehdi intentionally comes off as a tough professor. But he really just wants everyone to do well. If you pay attention in class, take careful notes (particularly with examples he gives in class), and do the homework, you'll do fine. Occasionally he'll go on a "If you have this attitude in industry they'll fire you" rant, but it's because he cares.ME3475 2016-10-26 09:33:44 +0000 UTC
He has a massive ego and hates his students.ME2380 2023-10-17 04:22:01 +0000 UTC
