She's straight up mean. If you do not do an assignment or phrase something EXACTLY how she is thinking it, no matter how close your wording is, you will fail. Many assignments I got more points off based on formatting versus the content. I lost ALL desire to be in this class because of how cold and cruel of a woman she is.SOCL2270 2014-10-27 15:38:27 +0000 UTC
Avoid classes with Buford at all costs. She reades straight out the textbook for the entire class, every single time. She has no idea how to teach. She isn't very friendly, and nobody in the class felt comfortable talking to her about their issues. Take this course with another teacher if you'd like to stay sane.SOCL2321 2013-08-23 12:26:25 +0000 UTC
Mindelyn is very ineffective at teaching, and is unapproachable and cold. The class is very messily structured. Her teaching consists of having us listen to her speedily regurgitate some lecture notes she wrote up. I do not like how she speed talks, nor do I like how her lectures are solely auditory. Group discussions were not much better either.SOCL2321 2013-04-13 00:22:08 +0000 UTC
Professor Buford does not understand that she gives out a lot of homework assignments and reading to her students. She also does not use class time well as what she "lectures" about is directly taken out of the textbook. She should consider making powerpoint lectures to help herself get organized. Don't take this frustrating class.SOCL2321 2013-01-12 21:45:26 +0000 UTC
