Enjoys his job. If you do homework and labs you'll be fine.EECE2150 2025-01-23 19:22:20 +0000 UTC
I think he is a good teacher, even though this course is really toughEE7201 2014-12-12 23:31:02 +0000 UTC
Horrible Professor! Never organized and gives so hard homework. He is not a young professor but he still needs to learn how to teach after he organizes himself.EECE7201 2012-11-19 19:35:36 +0000 UTC
Good lecturer. Provides many resources in the form of other textbooks for further understanding. Fair grades but tough homework.ECEG201 2007-04-16 12:46:22 +0000 UTC
Never organized. Loves to give unsovable homework questions ("OH, I realized that I didn't give you enough information to solve that problem!" <stupid laugh>). Forget that you spent hours doing it. The man just never seems to be on topECE1406 2003-10-24 18:29:50 +0000 UTC
I think he's a great professor and he's very good at breaking down complicated circuits. There's a lot of work to do but I thought it was fun. He gives two labs/reports (I enjoyed them for the most part), a homework (which tends to be very long), and an easy quiz each week.EECE2150 2024-11-18 06:17:05 +0000 UTC

Prof Nick is super passionate about the content and fair with grading. He walks around during labs and engages with students basically for the entire lab period. The homework he assigns takes a long time to complete but the quizzes are mostly a clear reflection of the homework. Just don't fall behind, go to office hours, and always do the homework.EECE2150 2023-01-05 00:05:33 +0000 UTC
Can't understand why undergrads aren't as competent as the Graduate Assistants. Cheerfully asks for the impossible.ECE1406 2003-06-04 22:59:29 +0000 UTC
Professor McGruer is a really nice, and understanding guy. However, his lectures are usually just example problems that go through less than half the cases you need to know (says you should be reading the textbook but no one has time with his massive homework assignments). Labs are fine, content is cool, but a hard class. Try not to get behind.EECE2150 2020-12-06 00:59:26 +0000 UTC
Great professor. The class is difficult ; however, he is very knowledgeable and will answer questions in depth during his office hours.EECE2150 2017-11-16 00:20:33 +0000 UTC
I don't understand all of the bad reviews. Professor McGruer is a good, energetic teacher that's very passionate about the subject. I have him for Circuits and Signals and it's a really enjoyable, although somewhat difficult class. Most of your grade is the home, ALEs, and labs which are guaranteed 100s as long as you do the workEECE2150 2016-01-30 11:12:31 +0000 UTC
