If you're looking for an easy A, go for it. but be aware this class is extremely BORING, pray that the window is open so times go quicker. She's an easy grader but the lectures are very boring. there are readings for each class and be aware as she randomly gives pop quizzes on the readings. Professor Otis was amazing (IDK why some of these reviews are rude). She led interesting group discussions, and was a fair grader. Yes, she gives pop quizzes and there is one/two readings for each class, but it is nothing crazy. If you do the readings, participate, and show up, you will do well. too Woke!! There is no uniformity to the pop quizzes and there are so many readings. Each class has at least a 10-15 page reading associated with it. The class has many interesting discussions but they often deviate from the course itself. quizzes are out of 2 points and often have a huge impact on your grade and she does not drop the bad ones.SOCL1280 2025-05-07 16:38:17 +0000 UTC
Prof was very passionate about (interesting) course material and class discussions, but often classes just repeated the (plentiful) reading; not productive. Syllabus and assignments were a bit all over the place, and prof was hard to reach outside of class. Frequent pop quizzes, but final exams weren't difficult.
