Dr. Nandigama is very sweet. The reviews about her accent are dramatic; I never had a problem understanding her. Tests (4 exams/no final) are 50 MCQ; study the slides, and you will be fine. She didn't seem prepared and read the slides quietly to herself before saying random bullet points. Used a lot of outdated and harmful info and language. Talked about destigmatizing mental illness but would then go and perpetuate stigma and misconceptions. TOOK 2370, not 3450. Graded by 4 exams the whole year, and a random assortment of sporadic, in-class assignments, which could completely tank your grade if you happen to miss. She is super sweet, but I wouldn't take her again. Her lectures were very dense, and most of the time would read off the slide. The exams aren't difficult, there's just a lot of content and 80% of the grade is exams. She is an extremely sweet and dedicated woman. You can tell she is passionate about her work and tries very hard to make the class fun and engaging. However, towards the end of the semester she started relying only on her lectures instead of her slideshows for her notes and it got very confusing. She wasn't bad at all. Yea the class was lecture heavy but It's 50 questions on the exam and very straight forward. THERES ALSO NO FINALL!!!! Her accent isn't bad at all, I fear that was just racism... if you do flashcards after each lecture, you'll be fine. If she skips a slide in class, delete it. I really enjoyed her as a professor she has a great sense of humor and makes the class really interesting. I don't understand why she gets hate, she's accomodating. She gives study guides and the tests are always 50 mc with no final. Doesn't respond to emails or questions so do not expect any response, wastes class time by asking useless questions (ex: your favorite hobby) and making every student in an 80 person lecture go around and answer, doesn't project slides just speaks and expects students to keep up, the list goes on. Honestly, she's not that bad. She's aware that her accent may make things hard to understand, but the TA is pretty good at filling in the gaps. She is genuinely so sweet and just wants you to do well in the class. She is super flexible about everything and all you have to do is show up to the classes and study the slides and notes you get from her to do well in tests. Professor Nandigama gets too much hate, she is a really sweet professor who cares about her students and while her lectures can get boring going to class and paying attention it is not very hard to attain a good grade in her class. Worst professor I've had yet. Her slides are not her own, so she'll skip like half of them instead of making her own, and when she does try her own lecture, it's sloppy and makes no sense.
