Professor Pietrucci is a very kind and friendly professor. She makes sure the class atmosphere is comfortable, which is good for students (such as myself) who are nervous about public speaking. Pamela is one of the best professors I've ever had, and it's only her first year teaching at Northeastern! The course is tough, but she is incredibly helpful - always available, and responds to emails so quickly and with unmatched depth. I went into Pam's class being terrified of public speaking but within a few weeks, I felt extremely comfortable talking in front the of the class. I took Pamela's Public Speaking course, and it's honestly been one of my favourite classes so far. Public Speaking sections are pretty small, so it's noticeable if you don't show up to class, but it also means you end up being close with those in your section and that you get really great feedback! I love Pamela. She such a sweet professor that makes you feel very comfortable in her class. I took her Public Speaking class and I was so nervous because I was terrible at speaking in public, but she encouraged everyone one of us and made it easy to speak in front of everyone. Pamela is a really great professor. The course starts off quite easy, but expect the material to get more difficult as the semester progresses! She really opened my eyes to the importance and difficulty of public speaking, and I would highly recommend her to any Comm majors looking to take the class.
