Professor teaches using white board and no slides. Classes were theory forward whereas homeworks and exams were application forward, also homeworks don't help in preparation for the exam at all. I took MLOps course with him and this has been the best course i took during my graduate school so far. Lots of materials and labs, i did kot know anything about the difficulties of model development in production environment and i think this course has prepared me for whats out there. No slides are provided. Lots of note-taking. He skipped explanations on some topics but had that on one of the exam problems. many different versions of questions on the exam, and it's by luck to get easier questions. This professor has a wrong sense of fairness.IE7374 2023-07-18 19:39:06 +0000 UTC
I made a mistake and took his class in summer 1. His class is to heavy to be offered during summer 1 which made it really difficult for some of us to catch up with. I really enjoyed his teaching, he is really passionate about the class and learned a lot but i would not take this course with him again. The BEST machine learning(Bayesian based) course in NEU, the textbook is Bishop PRML, it is very very difficult whatever the lecture, homework and exam, full of complex mathmatical stuff. I took his course for machine learning, and it was honestly the best money spent to date at Northeastern. He enjoys his lectures, and if you are as driven and motivated as him, you will thoroughly enjoy the classes and the homework.
