BE WARNED. he is a completely different person outside of class. going to office hours for help is an invitation to feel incompetent. make sure to give each project your soul and more because he grades EXTREMELY tough. the class/projects are interesting, but the man himself is a jerk, especially if you don't kiss the ground he walks on.MARKETING 2009-12-01 17:01:08 +0000 UTC
His class is entertaining and he is passionate about the subject, but either you love him or you really don't. I went for him to assistance, and he made the comment that "your gpa is 3.7, you must have got some bad grades in there, haven't you?" I was mortified.MUSIC231 2009-10-29 16:04:07 +0000 UTC
You either love him or you hate him. Those who love him aren't the most perceptive bunch. he's the kind of person that loves attention and does unnecessary things for laughs, so he acts really phony to get them. asks questions but doesn't really care what your answer is, it's his way or the wrong way. pretty disrespectful, pompous, tough grader.MUSMARK 2009-10-20 16:33:00 +0000 UTC
The best professor I have had at this school. He is engaging, entertaining, and expects a lot from his students. I took multiple classes from Strasser and have to say he was one of the few teachers worth tuition. Strasser is the man and has created numerous top-notch courses. I highly recommend Music Entrepreneurship. Study hard!MUS550 2008-12-04 18:20:57 +0000 UTC
Much of this class is a one-man dog and pony show; either it will keep you engaged with the material or it will make the class seem like a waste of time. Tends to ask students questions during class, but not really listen to the answers (or he interrupts them). The final project is big, but will teach you a lot about what it takes to form an NPO.MUSU330 2008-04-15 16:32:07 +0000 UTC
Is a wonderful teacher.MUS231 2007-01-21 20:22:30 +0000 UTC
On the contrary, I found his loud and pompous antics during lectures to be extremely annoying. I felt like he was wasting a lot of time trying to make pointless jokes and bouncing around like a 6 year old suffering from ADD. He can also be disrespectful at times, and there's nothing he teaches that you couldn't read from a book. He doesn't seem toMUSU230 2006-12-03 18:00:50 +0000 UTC
Strasser is extremely intelligent and isn't afraid to share his knowledge with the class. As a result, he has high expectations for his classes, so be prepared. However, he is extremely respectful and worth the cost of tuition.MUSICADMIN 2006-04-19 19:34:42 +0000 UTC

This is such an awesome class, but BAM when you get that final grade, out of nowhere it seems, you get screwed. I thought I was going to get an A-/B+ and ended up with a C...his final project is absolutely rediculous and time consuming. Prepare yourself the moment he assigns it, start don't wait.MUS230 2004-12-21 12:55:03 +0000 UTC
This man rocks! I will take all of his classes.MUSICIND1 2004-12-16 14:36:13 +0000 UTC
This was my favorite one I had this semester. Dr.Strasser is very knowledgeable to what he is teaching and it comes out in his personality and his class. If you are really interested in learning about the music industry, his class is the one to take!MUS231 2004-11-30 13:07:14 +0000 UTC
Dr S spends as much time teaching you about the music industry as you learn about how many different accents he can use. Funny, keeps his long lectures highly amusing and interestingMUS231 2004-10-25 20:55:46 +0000 UTC
