My king. He's a goofball and can be a bit scatterbrained, but his lectures are engaging and his online resources are top notch. Detailed notes and lecture recordings are posted on Canvas, and he always has a virtual classroom running for people who can't show up in person. He's empathetic to our plight as students and truly cares that we do well.ME2355 2025-12-17 05:45:51 +0000 UTC
He is a girlboss diva. Very sweet professor - cares about his students and wants them to succeed. Good lecturer and very helpful during office hours. Fair grader and easy to talk to! Absolute pleasure to have him as a professor 11/10 would take him again.ME2350 2025-06-07 06:03:58 +0000 UTC
Professor Julien is super personable but hes a bit unorganized. There are times when we use the time in class super inefficiently but we still learn everything we need to which is good. Good focus on practice problems and keeping the curriculum to only what's important.ME2355 2025-12-15 19:14:09 +0000 UTC
AVOID AT ALL COST!!!ME2350 2025-04-27 00:24:21 +0000 UTC
Really kind/caring professor. Makes everybody feel welcome in class and puts a lot of care into crafting his lessons. I've had plenty of condescending professors who enjoy their place of power and I can tell you prof J is anything but that. If you want to do well in his class, you will.ME2355 2025-01-08 15:02:34 +0000 UTC
Tests are similar to what is on the homeworks. Lectures are recorded super well so you can get away with not going to lectures, but I would still go if I were you as he is helpful in person. He sometimes makes things more complicated than they have to be but is overall an amazing person and the class feels super real and welcoming. Recommend 100%ME2350 2025-04-14 16:49:46 +0000 UTC
GOAT. Definitely take him for mechanics and materials. Quizzes are very close to the homework's and a huge partial credit grader. Super helpful, gives great feedback and a great teacher explaining all the concepts. Posts all notes and lecture recordings on canvas, makes it incredibly easy to study. Actual GOAT take him if you canME2355 2024-12-09 18:50:06 +0000 UTC
gives off very nervous energy, first day of class he said he was a shut in in college. Nice guy, wants you to understand material but classes are essentially just two practice problems where we watch him work through it. Makes you feel like you could pass the class from youtube alone.ME2355 2024-11-21 14:48:19 +0000 UTC
Really nice professor, very helpful in office hours. Grades super fairly and gives partial credit. He really wants you to understand the material. before the midterm is basically just Statics+ but gets more intense after. 10/10ME2355 2024-11-18 18:51:45 +0000 UTC
Such a nice guy, his lectures aren't always necesary at the begining of the year. Very fair grader. Would recommend.ME2355 2024-11-18 18:47:35 +0000 UTC
His style of lecturing makes me question if he knows the material himself. Topics are almost always made significantly more confusing than they need to be. There is too much homework as he doesn't teach enough material to do it until we have 1-2 days to do it (It's a week's worth of work). He cares but doesn't know how to teach.ME2355 2024-04-23 23:09:38 +0000 UTC
