I had Dr. Dolansky for 2 RELI courses. While the course material, readings and assignment can be challenging, they foster critical thinking skills and require you to engage with the material on a higher level. This should not be advertised as a 150 class, it's more like a 350. You have to read and go to every class or you will fail. Teacher is great though, very knowledgable, gives you a study guide before every test but it's really long and has a million terms to learn when she only asks for 5/7 on the actual test. Course is clear cut - 2 Midterms, Final, and a Paper, all 25%. You HAVE to do the reading, AND go to class...or you'll just fall bedhind. The class is basically make sure you read the Bible and LEctures. SHe has 2 midterms, worth 25% each, Final Exegesis Paper, 25% and the Final (Accumulative)25%. So its either hit it or miss it. Dr. Dolansky is an exceptional academic and wonderful professor. Her lectures are engaging and so much fun. This was by far my favourite class. The assignments for the class were genuinely exciting and she marked them very fairly. The feedback she gave was great, very encouraging and constructive.
