This class was fine, but exclusively dependent on group work. Having a group that does not participate and will not help with assignments makes the class challenging, and there is no accountability. Prof does not seem to care or understand that students grades are suffering because the syllabus only focuses on group work. also this was comm2700COMM2110 2026-02-11 18:06:19 +0000 UTC
Professor Warren is a great teacher and is enthusiastic about the content. There are weekly cases that can be a little tedious to do and are graded by the TA. The TA grades relatively strictly which is why his rating is so low. The tests are decent but he does sometimes throw in questions that have no correlation to the content.COMM2110 2025-12-11 20:29:17 +0000 UTC
His rating is lower then it should be, I understand if you took this for NUpath and thought it was going to be a breeze why you feel a way. Lots of readings but they are interesting if you like sports. The TA makes the class harder then it should be, takes points off for stuff not on the rubric. Steven is great and his lectures are very interestingCOMM2110 2025-12-08 00:07:31 +0000 UTC
Steve seems like a nice guy but there are weekly assignments that take hours every time, it just takes a lot of time for a class like this. Graded by TA not him, harsh grader. The exams are all mcq but there are some crazy specific case studies making it quite difficult. That being said, he does provide an alright study guide and there was no final.COMM2110 2025-12-06 20:44:33 +0000 UTC
Professor Warren himself is fine. The class is terrible. The TA is super strict, professor warren is never in class half the time. The tests are a nightmare, the tests never reflect the study guides, and the study guides never reflect the class material. Sometimes he will throw things onto the test that you have never seen before just to screw you.COMM2110 2025-12-04 02:41:42 +0000 UTC
Lectures were alright but boring at times. Tests are difficult, sometimes very obscure to what we learnt in class. Weekly cases are very time-consuming. Professor only shows up for the lecture class, and the TA leads the discussion. TA grades harshly and doesn't provide constructive feedback, also very standoff-ish when asked questions.COMM2110 2025-12-04 00:26:57 +0000 UTC
Classes and lecture were interesting. Enjoyable experience. TA graded impossibly difficult on weekly homeworkCOMM2110 2025-12-03 23:39:51 +0000 UTC
Overhated class tbh but the TA was super critical for homework so beware. Would recommend if you genuinely like sportsCOMM2110 2025-12-02 14:34:20 +0000 UTC
The professor is a fine lecturer, and the class is decently interesting, but grading is all done by the TA and is pretty harsh. Weekly hw was just busy work and tests didn't reflect what we learned in the course. Do not take if you wanted a chill elective!COMM2110 2025-12-01 17:34:40 +0000 UTC
HW was incredibly tedious and time consuming. Don't recommend taking it as an elective or NU path, but I could see it being good if your major is comms or sports focused. Actually liked Steve, but he was hands off with grading The TA was a ridiculously harsh grader and the course relied on remembering obscure details for tests and assignments.COMM2110 2025-11-28 00:18:29 +0000 UTC
There's a weekly assignment that takes hours to complete, the TA grades these harshly with minimal constructive feedback. Exams have lots of frustrating questions that require you to remember trivial details from lectures that aren't in the study guides. Warren gives good lectures, but the TA, assignments, and exams make this an unpleasant class.COMM2110 2025-11-04 21:16:10 +0000 UTC
He only ever shows up to one of the classes out of the week and has the TA lead the second one which is discussion based. Homework takes forever and really is not helpful. The TA is a really hard graded for no reason and overall useless. If you are looking for just a fun class to take don't take this one literally take anything else.COMM2110 2025-10-30 19:34:28 +0000 UTC
Weekly homework takes 3+ hours and feels like busywork. The TA grades harshly and rarely gives full credit. The class could be fun but it's boring. Not a chill elective. The professor lectures on Tuesdays; Fridays are TA-led discussions. Tests have 65 multiple choice and fill-in-the-blank questions and aren't easy.COMM2110 2025-10-21 12:24:40 +0000 UTC
- weekly hw takes 3hrs+ and is just busy work - TA is the hardest grader ever, almost never gives full credit - could be a fun class and its j boring - def not a chill elective - tuesdays he lectures friday he doesn't go to class but u do and the TA leads a discussion - tests are lowk not easy 65 mc/ all in the blankCOMM2110 2025-10-21 12:20:28 +0000 UTC
Gives assignments due night of class that take 2+ hours. A lot of time commitment for an elective. Not receptive to feedback.COMM2110 2025-10-02 01:12:44 +0000 UTC
