being taught Sex, Gender, and Pop Culture by Suzanna Walters was one of the highlights of my first year at Northeastern. This class is so worth it to take and teaches important skills in media literacy. While professor Walters can be quite strict, she does nothing outside of reason. She might be strict, but she is an excellent professor. She's authentic, understanding, and handles topics with such nuance and grace that it makes me excited to hear what she has to say next. Such a miserable class. She assigns a ridiculous amount of readings and expects you to know them in so much detail for tests. You have to take her viewpoint to be viewed as correct. Literally the worst class ever. If you can get away with taking another class, do it. She assigns readings like there's no tomorrow. She assigns so much as if to assume you have no other classes.
