Professor Cruz is ferociously energetic and has such a deep passion for the subjects she teaches. This class was not easy in the sense that the concepts taught were ultra-specific and more advanced ideas in sociology related to science, technology, and society. Prof Cruz created an environment where my own interests could be seen through a sociological perspective, very needed in the capstone class she taught me. She is passionate and enthusiastic, and will definitely make you want to learn more about Sociology. She is the kind of prof. that will ensure you understand the topic. Dr. Cruz is an amazing professor and is incredibly passionate about science and technology studies. Her excitement is contagious and made me want to go to class. The course concepts can be hard to grasp at times, but Dr. Cruz was more than happy to go over lectures both in class and during office hours. I had Professor Cruz for Senior Capstone and felt supported throughout the semester. She took the time to get to know each student individually & clearly cared about our success. Although challenging at times, my capstone experience was definitely made smoother because of her.
